Lala Kate chapter 5 . 1/15/2019 I really enjoyed this story. You write all of the characters so well and true to who they are. The con was a delightful touch. Well done! |
CSI-Ash chapter 5 . 6/10/2009 Awesome fics! I love your series! :-D Also, it really shows you know your stuff when it comes to medical facts and terminology! I took Biology and Genetics in university and I must say, I was grinning like an idiot when I read the Bombay Blood Group storyline! lol Keep up the great work! I'll definitely be reading more! ;-) |
Alice Day chapter 5 . 3/1/2009 Okay, the genetic blood type bobble in Chapter 4 has been corrected - thanks for the heads up! |
Vulcanicus chapter 5 . 3/1/2009 Nice story, I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting to learn about the Bombay phenotype as well, I immediately checked it out (before I got to your author's note.). Just one thing. In chapter four, you stated that it would be impossible for an individual with type O blood and an individual with type AB blood to be full siblings, which is not accurate in all cases. In regard to your specific characters, you would be right as the father had AB and the mother had O, meaning it would be impossible. But if one of the parents had type A with the second allele being the recessive O and the other had type B with the second allele also being O, there would be equal chance of a child having type A, B, AB or O blood. But as I said, in this story it worked because you specified the parents' blood types in a way that worked. Just know that it is possible with specific genotypes for parents to have children with type O and children with type AB. Just pointing that out, not trying to criticize or anything, your story was really good. |
beaujolais chapter 5 . 2/25/2009 I really liked this. As I was reading it, I realized how perfectly it would work as an episode: tightly written, freakish cause of death, snarky Brass and geeky Ray, lots of Brass but plenty of team action, and if TPTB would ever figure it out, hot Brass/Catherine sex. I think the part I liked the best, besides how perfectly in character Brass was written, was how the whole Brass/Catherine thing, even the smutty interlude, was completely background to the story. |
wendysam chapter 5 . 2/25/2009 This is a cleverly plotted story! The case is intriguing and the scientific details sound so convincing, though I haven't checked them out yet. The romance is well blended in, not so much that it will overweigh the crime, yet not so little that you don't feel the passion at all. You are a great writer and I hope you will write more! |
beaujolais chapter 3 . 2/17/2009 Case, case, brief interlude for musings on foregoing a condom and incredibly hot sex, case. This is another great chapter. I love the detail you give to Jim, namely the shout-out to the snowflake tattoo and the furry arms. Thanks for not making us wait too long for this update. |
Sorsha711 chapter 3 . 2/17/2009 I'm really enjoying this fic! You've done a great job capturing the feel of CSI. The banter between characters is dead on... pun intended! I love Brass and you take on him is fantastic. Can't wait for more! S |
beaujolais chapter 2 . 2/16/2009 I really like the nice blend of casefile and Jim/Catherine in this chapter. So far you've kept the relationship in the background and I like that, especially while you establish the two investigations. But I am looking forward to Jim getting his wish. |
smacky30 chapter 2 . 2/14/2009 O Brass/Catherine. I like this story so much. It's interesting and fast paced. It has a touch of humor. Really good job. |
spottedhorse chapter 2 . 2/13/2009 Nice Chapter. I like the interaction between Jim and Catherine. Looking forward to more. |
wendysam chapter 2 . 2/13/2009 This is COOL! So CSI, two connected cases, comics, sci-fi, and you are so detailed and good at describing the cases, the investigation... Please update asap. |
wendysam chapter 1 . 2/9/2009 Nice plot... interesting and intriguing case! Dying to read more. |
beaujolais chapter 1 . 2/8/2009 Brass investigating a death at a SciFi con in Vegas is ripe for Jim's snark. Love that he's completely out of his element while Ray isn't exactly. And poor Nick! Ray saying "He's dead, Jim" sounds exactly like something he'd say for exactly the reason he gives. This has so much to love, I can't list it all but I have to say Jim describing Michael Szilow as "the guy doing the pee-pee dance" has to be my favorite. I love a good casefile, especially one that promises Brass/Catherine, and this one is off to a great start. Definitely looking forward to the next update. |
spottedhorse chapter 1 . 2/8/2009 LOL, I'm lovin' it. You are doing a fantastic job with Brass. Looking forward to more, soon please. |
