Oh, what a sweet, happy ending! I have really enjoyed this story. It would be so great if you would do a sequel to show the day when Eleazar and Carmen first encounter the Denalis, and discover that there is another way to live.

very well done, what a sad scene! At least this coven had committed a real crime so that Aro was "justified". I love how you write some of the Volturi guards as being real people, with real doubts about what they are doing. Aro is perfect. I'm actually surprised he let Eleazar go off on his own for a day- very decent of him. He'll regret it, though!

I really like this story so far! Very well written and I like the way Eleazar mentally refers to people by their talents; it seems second nature to him. His loneliness is almost palpable. Will read and review more later.

What ever happened to Asdis?

Eleazar's so lucky they didn't decide to go Mafia and kill him because he knows too much about their activities...whoo! " It's good that Aro could be so understanding about THIS one thing, even if he doesn't show mercy towards every other thing having to do with vampires.

Anywho...I'm pretty sure 'Senior' would be 'Senor' if Carmen is speaking Spanish. Also, the line about 'breech of rules' would be 'breach', since it involves a break of the usual conduct. Just thought I should mention it so that the lines are easier to understand.

ps-Nice job on suggesting that 'La tua Cantate' rule with Carmen's scents. It reminds me that I'll probably have to figure that out with Kate and Garrett in my own story, but anyway...nice job overall!

This first chapter was so descriptive and very well-detailed. I like how you present Eleazar and his place in the Volturi-like he's helping them conduct their daily 'governances', but also secretly being his own man/vampire/etc. at the same time.

I also love the way you present some other canon Volturi, as well as fanon-Renata's loyalty to Aro, Asdis' willingness to join in the secretive hijinks, and so on. To me that just shouts 'Vampire Mafia' and 'control freaks', hopefully summing up the right idea of the Volturi you have here. :)

If I may, though, I just have two suggestions-I'm pretty sure receptionist is spelled with a c, and that there are two r's in volterra because it has to do with the Italian word for 'earth'. You don't have to edit if you don't want to, of course, but I just thought I would throw that out there just in case you did.

Overall, very good work here, and I'll comment on the other chapters ASAP!

I simply love this story and I'm so happy that you finished it! Very well done, I really liked how you gave Carmen and Eleazar personalities as opposed to SM's brief glimpse. Any chance that we'll get to see them meeting up with the Denalis?
