So I just watched the newest episode and Sasuke attempts to kill Madara but gets caught. Then Madara delivers a speech about sacrificing anything for his goal, "be it a friend, a sibling... or even a son", right before stabbing Sasuke in the chest.
That part really reminded me of your story though, lol.

Shisui is my favourite character so I hope he gets more story time, even if he's dead... *goes and sobs in corner*

It was only one small change, only one thing went differently and the entire future changed.
Despite how long it was, I dreaded running out of chapters.
This was just as Awesome as Itachi: The early years was. It was a good idea to read that first, because then I wasn't confused about any later events since I knew the background story for each character.

It can definitely stand alone by itself, but I still recommend people read the early years first because it made me fall harder for the story. I was aware of how much depth was put into them and it was just a truly awesome read. Both of them. Every chapter was enthralling and so detailed and so right, I had wondered what would happen when you veered off the Naruto storyline and I was ecstatic to see how much more creative your imagination could turn out to be. And I suffered no disappointments.

I... Wow. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed and loved reading 'Itachi: The Early Years' and 'A Perception of Reality'. The details and effort you put really shows and made me feel like I was actually there, watching everything happen. Madara's fate is perfect in my opinion, and I just love the pairings you have, haha. These stories took me for quite a ride and I'm very thankful for you because they actually taught me some things about life. Itachi is actually one of my favorite characters from Naruto because of the fact that even though he gave away everything, even himself, for the sake of protecting the village from the Uchiha coup, he only got hatred and the label of 'villain' in return. And he still bore through it all, killed every emotion he had, and became a 'true' shinobi, all because he loved his brother.

I think you portrayed Itachi very accurately, and the same goes for all the other characters. Man, I wish this story was canon instead of the tragedy that is canon now. In your story many people live, but in the actual Naruto there are a whole bunch of deaths.

Anyways, you have my heartfelt thanks for putting so much time and effort into these stories. To those who pay attention and imagine the events as if they were really happening, I'm sure they would learn from these stories also : )

What an amazing story! I just spent the last two days reading the entire thing and I love it! It's very well written and I like how you kept some things canon-ish (as canon as one could with this plot), but twisted them to suit the story and the characters.

Sorry I would write more, but it's very late and I need sleeeeep hehe. Well done on a fantastic story! I shall now go have a look at your other work :)

I seriously loved this series as well as the early years :) this story is one of the best ones on fan fictions in my opinion, and I love the ending :) thanks for writing an awesome story that many naruto fans can enjoy

*triumphant cry* Ah hah! I've finally finished! It only took almost a month, but I finally did it! And I must say, I enjoyed every minute, every line! Both of "A Perception of Reality" as well as "Itachi: The Early Years", although I'll admit I forgot to review that when I finished it... It was awesome, by the way Both of 'em were awesome. And now you've gotten me hooked on Naruto. Haven't been interested since '09, for some odd reason. But- I swear! You are simply amazing! Can't get over how awesome these two stories were... And I'd really look forward to a story about Madara's childhood; you've gotta be one of the most consistent updating people I've ever seen *blink, blink*. Not to mention amazing! WOW! I just can't get over how awesome these two stories were...

Good work. I think I liked Itachi's character more in Itachi: The Early Years, but a good story nevertheless.
