Coyote chapter 9 . 7/28/2012 1) See review for last chapter. This chapter is closure & introduction to the 2nd part (where will the characters be? What will they be doing? If there is a time skip, more or less what happened during ti?) So it actually is less important than chapter 8 which was the actual dénouement of the first part (Will Toph do as she is expected to? Will she return to her family? Kataang or Zutara?) 3) Yes, I'm here for the long run. |
Coyote chapter 8 . 7/28/2012 1 & 2) No, it was great. The previous chapters built up to the Zutara/Kataang conflict, so there is a satisfying (and canonical) answer to this. However, the previous chapters also built up a little something between Aang and Toph. An understanding. A basis for a future relationship (because that's where it's headed). Having a full blown Zutara/Taang now would be real bad, since "love" (at thirteen) isn't for ever at their age. Here, we have the Kataang/Zutara conflict solved, with an optimal (from what the characters know) solution but another solution hinted at. It makes Kataang eventual breakup more believable. It's good. Also, Iroh was exactly Iroh. I think. |
Coyote chapter 7 . 7/28/2012 Maybe all the exposition about grand master & ambassadors could have been done in only one chapter? |
Coyote chapter 6 . 7/27/2012 1 & 2) It does make sense, but I don't care about it. It feels wrong though. The chapter feels like infodump and dream sequences are... Let's just say I don't like them. |
Coyote chapter 5 . 7/27/2012 No chapter is out of place if the events or information given in it are used somewhere after to better advance the plot. However, I still feel the whole concept of teenagers being ambassadors of entire nations is silly, because they are much too young for the old establishment to accept them. |
Coyote chapter 4 . 7/27/2012 2) Yes, it did. No, it was nice. Like two real friends. |
Coyote chapter 3 . 7/27/2012 1) Aang's reaction to Toph asking for a dance was brutal and unexpected. Pissed, okay. Angry: why? He still has a whole night to say everything. It's not like she ruined his one and only chance. Also, Toph initially wanted to talk, why didn't she persist? 2) Kataang, Taang, Tokka, Maiko. |
Coyote chapter 2 . 7/27/2012 1) We don't see much of any character anyway. I felt like Toph would have liked the attention from then unnamed man who ogled her. |
Coyote chapter 1 . 7/27/2012 3) It's ok. I'm here for the Taang anyway. It's starting slow, but if this story lasts 15 parts with 9 chapters each... IDC if it starts slow. It's a shame though. Don't you have a beta reader for the spelling & grammar? |
janzen222 chapter 9 . 7/25/2012 why is it romance... I DID NOT SEE ANY ROMANCE! |
nequam-tenshi chapter 9 . 4/14/2012 This is a good story; this ending is more coherent compared to the actual ending of Avatar regarding Katara and Aang's relationship. The song fit well. I want to read part 2. |
Book editor chapter 3 . 2/27/2011 It's Good but the grammar and spelling not so great but so far a nice read |
LilyAyl chapter 4 . 11/27/2010 The dialogue was good. A lot said and unsaid. Again, however, your spelling and grammar errors distract. Sentences end with periods, unless they are at the end of a piece of dialogue before the tag, in which case they end with a comma. The first letter of a sentence should also be capitalized. |
LilyAyl chapter 3 . 11/27/2010 The characters, as you've built them, have potential and I am looking forward to seeing them grow. Your spelling and grammar errors are distracting, however. You routinely neglect to capitalize first names and you misspell words like 'though' and 'how.' |
ogonzaleznyc chapter 9 . 10/18/2010 Hey, I've enjoyed "Where do we go from here 1: last weekend together" despite their being unusually youg to be ambassadors. But I started to "where do we go from here" and it didn't really seem like a continuation. I also notice that you have two different stories titled, "Where do we go from here 8." Please explainat so thatI can read it all in the proper order. Thanks a lot. |
