| laurelinwen chapter 8 . 11/23/2012 Huh. The Omega, big old bloke with the scary gold mask. This actually reminds me more of "the Enemy Within," a star trek original series episode. Kirk is split in two -good Kirk, bad Kirk - really introspective episode on the balance of human nature. Shatner's acting is WAY over the top, but I'd check it out if you haven't seen it. I'm going to hazard a guess and say that the Doctor is seen through such hate because it's just the opposite. Martha Jones, so in love. Loving this so far! And sorry I never write back to your replies, I really will once I'm done playing catch up! Meanwhile, saving my verbosity for reviews:-p |
| AFanWhoFeelsThings chapter 18 . 3/21/2011 Read all 18 chapters in one sitting. Very dark, very compelling, and shockingly addictive, this. I literally could not stop reading until the whole thing was over. Again, as always, totally in character, especially loved Jack and Ten moments. I know everyone has such grand old ideas about how The Doctor and sex go together sometimes - and then sometimes (provided its written with a modicum of common sense) I don't mind a story where The Doctor is a bloke and he has working parts that need attention. Of course, consequences prevail. Very nice work! Dark Who is sooo my guilty pleasure. |

| Abstruse fangirl chapter 18 . 8/29/2009 Yes, this story was darker and more serious than perhaps some others are, but it was also very well written. Good use of the Lazarus Experiment episode. I'm always particularly happy when that makes it into a Ten/Martha story. :) I loved Jack in this! I loved his no nonsense attitude when dealing with the Doctor. And I'm glad that someone else thinks that with the attraction that the two of them had early on, whatever relationship they had probably began pretty early in their traveling together. Great job on this! |
| Persiflage chapter 18 . 8/24/2009 I've just read this for the second time, and thoroughly enjoyed it... The way Martha's memories were all twisted into something dark and vile was chilling. So glad Francine called on Jack's assistance, and that he was able to work out what had happened, if not how or why... |
