What I don't understand is why Nadiah and her husband is very abusive to Alicia. In the third book, Mr. and Mrs. Rivera was shown to be very loving parents. Did something change in the last 2 years?

I am actually not a fan of the Clique, but my sisters are. I read the series anyways and I automatically liked this pairing out of the book. The 5th book(?) I when Claire and Cam cross dress and sneak into the others' cabin at camp, right? I think I actually like Massie, and respect her (I didn't at the beginning of the series).
