Absolutely gorgeous. I detest the pairing of Edward and Heiderich, but that didn't even phase me with this-which is saying a lot. The sentence structure was beautiful, the grammar was impeccable, the storyline was well thought-out and there were absolutely no loose ends.

Heartbreakingly beautiful. Alfons is one of my favorite characters and it's nice to see someone capture him so well. I especially liked the use of Rilke's poems in this fic. I'm currently studying German at college, and I'll definitely read more of his work thanks to this fic! :)
