The title of this adorable story is from the song "Maps" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs! Many references can be found in the 'They don't love you like I love you.' lines!

Well, I thought that this was pretty good, though I'm clueless as to the Maps thing...haha. It was very well-written, though, if it were me, Scorpius would have done A LOT more grovelling...But that's just me. I liked this a lot :)

The title is lost on me. I have absolutely NO idea what it's about.

Okay, I just want to say that I really enjoyed this story. I generally love scorpius/rose fics like this, where they're best friends and scorpius has a gf.

BUT...there are a few things bugging me.

1. rose focuses a lot on the fact that ashby called her a mudblood, but not on the fact that she didn't hit her. I realize that the first was more important, i totally agree with that, but when she told other people about what really happened she kept leaving out that she never hit the girl in the first place. I just thought that while, yes, the mudblood thing was worse, the hitting thing was nearly as bad and needed to be addressed more. For example, she never told Xander that she didn't hit Ashby, so Hugo didn't know, so Scorpius didn't know. Scorpius should have known our of all people. especially because he manhandled her for it, too.

2. the whole family kind of bugged me. while i mostly liked the way you portrayed the characters (except Lily, but I almost never like her. i just hate it when she's written as girly and annoying, but praised for it. i also hate ginny written like that), I just think they came off as a bunch of fair weather friends. they were all AGAINST rose at the train station (except louis and his family), but then, the next time they see her, it's like it never happened. Just because they're family doesn't mean they should treat her however they feel at the moment and get away with it. there was no respect there. they actually believed she would be a bad person and do something bad, but then they totally flopped on her and were worried. complete fair weather friends. and i hated the whole 'ginny and harry didn't like rose' thing, but that was just a personal preference. although i did wonder, if they were reserved about her, they greeted her at the christmas party like best friends.

and molly weasley. hmm. if she was so disappointed in rose, and she gave away something rose worked really hard for (which was way out of line in my opinion. hermione and ron should have done it, AFTER they talked to rose about it) but then they were, again, all buddy buddy. there should have been at least a LITTLE resentment there. it was like rose didn't even really care.

3. can i ask why louis or his parents never told anyone what was going on? even though rose asked them not to, they still should have. it was a heinous thing to say to rose and a terrible thing to accuse her of. bill, fleur and louis should have come out with what they knew immediately to get people to back off of rose. instead they didn't, let her get emotionally traumatized and hated by the general public, and then they kept asking how she was! they should have stepped in, ESPECIALLY by telling hermione. even if they hadn't told anyone else

4. rose was supposedly bummed out about everything, but once she put the face cream on she not only LOOKED happy, she actually WAS happy. At least she came off as really happy and excited. Well, maybe not REALLY happy and excited, but I definitely didn't think she sounded at all upset.

5. The ashby/aden thing was kind of weird. it just seemed sudden, and a way to easily get rid of the characters. i think, with the devotion both of them showed to rose and scorpius, that neither of them wouldn't have cheated. Aden, because he generally seemed like a nice guy and because HE was the one who wanted to be with rose on a more serious level, and Ashby because even though she was a heinous bitch, she had actual feelings for scorpius. strong ones, if the way she treated rose was anything to go by. why work that hard for someone if you're going behind their back anyways?

6. (this one is completely personal and would have changed your entire story. it's more a 'what i think should have happened' rather than a 'maybe you could consider revising?' or 'please just explain'):

I don't think rose should have forgiven scorpius. i really don't, even if he is the main love interest in this. and while i DO think rose let her family off really easy when they shouldn't have been, i feel like it was more important for her to put scorpius in his place. HE was the bad friend. HE was the one who was in the wrong. HE was the one who PHYSICALLY shook her, HE was the one who made a scene that ruined her reputation, HE was the one knowingly dating a pshyco bitch who didn't like his BEST FRIEND (if you're partner is trying to ruin your friendship the gf/bf needs to be chucked right away, not ignored and smiled at and tolerated, and loved.) and HE was the once who never ONCE asked rose her side of the story. I mean, it was no secret ashby had it out for rose, so i thought it was bull shit that everyone automatically believed ashby, especially scorpius. and he thought she was cheating anyways, so obviously he thought she was a liar. that was nonsense.

for all the things he did wrong he didn't suffer nearly enough. Instead he went to her, said 'sorry, i was going to dump her anyways' and got away with it. she still went running into his arms, and he got off with no punishment. he was completely scott free! what was that?

Yes, he was her best friend and she had feelings for him. It is precisely that reason that he shouldn't have been forgiven. As a best friend, he fucked up (excuse my language). if he had just been a friend or someone she barely knew it would have been different, though still slightly unexceptable. but he was a BEST FRIEND. if someone was really your best friend they wouldn't treat you like that. if they did, they didn't deserve your friendship. and they didn't deserve to get away with whatever the hell they felt like.

...and she had feelings for him. she was blinded by love. FOOLISHLY blinded by love..

Awawawawawaw! That was soo cutee! I do understand why Rose didn't want to tell anyone what Ashby (*clenches fists*) called her...:) Greaaatt story! And cute ending- Haha Aden and Ashby (...) ? I totally saw that coming. :)

...I Hate Ashby. I'm going to yell at Ashby, if you don't mind. WHAT THE EFFING EF IS YOUR PROBLEM ASHBY? ...What kind of name is Ashby anyways? ...Other than that- Awesome. I knew I loved Louis. :) Btw, Rose is a half-blood...But I expect the name still hurt. :)

maps? maybe the line 'You just disappeared' is a reference to marauders map and the room of requirement? I don't know why you called this story maps, so please enlighten me. Anyways, I really enjoyed reading your story. I like it.

I'm disappointed that it ends there. It ends to quickly, but it is good.

I liked the story! but I couldn't get your hints of the name... Please tell me. Now I'm curious... Anyway, nice story.
