this was a good fic, sad that Dean and Jo can't just get it together already though
framedforjack chapter 1 . 4/2/2011
I like stories where the Winchester boys mentor Jo in hunting (hell I'm writing one) but this knocked that concept out of the park. You wrote a beautiful Jo, who wants, because there's no denying she dreams about wiggling her way into their lives, but knows she can't get there, so she drives on out without looking back. Doesn't stop wanting, doesn't have things easy, but she doesn't cave. The imagery of her in the desert, putting the coyote-spirit to rest is a beautiful scene. All in all, I don't think your story needed Dean, but since you added him in, it felt right that she walks out, without a goodbye and goes back to the job.

There's so much hate from fandom for this character, which I never understood, but you captured her and made her into something that can't be touched. The independence and self-reliance you portrayed here? Definitely the sort of girl I wanna be, so thanks for the inspiration.

Ella Palladino chapter 1 . 5/7/2009
This is f*cking fantastic! LOVE it! This is exactly what I picture for Jo right now... travelling on her own, figuring things out like how to fix her truck and vanquishing coyote ghosts. Thank you so much for painting this picture. (you almost could have left Dean out) Please write more like this!
