I think Sesshomaru-sama is likely a Virgo. A bitchy perfectionist. I know I can be down right neurotic when things don't go as I had planned.

The image of Inupapa with expressions that Inuyasha would own was a hysterical one that cannot be beat! I think I need to hunt for more Inupapa stories later xD

What a delight. This was so amusing, so full of quiet wit.

It takes you unawares because it starts so dramatically with the beautiful description of the great castle, the wind blowing and a highly agitated Inu no Taisho.

A baby is coming, lovely! I love it when Inu no Taisho rushes to his wife's bedside thinking she's calling for him and he gets "Not you, the kid" flung at him. How deflating for the mighty one.

When the midwife hands the baby to him and he "glanced down at the baby to make sure she hadn't taken a bite out of him or anything" I had to laugh so hard and so suddenly that I inhaled my coffee and spluttered, my husband having to come and pat my back while I got my breath back. Oh my, oh my, that was great.

The great task lies before him, name the baby and then just when I'd recovered from my splutters you hit me with "Lobster". I decide to put down my cup and not pick it up again until the end. Who knows what else is coming?

Then, so like a man, he takes a new born baby outside, for gosh sakes! No wonder the poor mite sneezes and tries to burrow away from the cold. As if Winter was ever going to be a good name. Then when the baby locks gazes with him again, Inu no Taisho says "Are you threatening me?" Oh, my sainted aunt, the child is five minutes old and the silly old fool is asking him that? You are so magnificently subtle in your humour, it sneaks up on you and POUNCES! Excellent.

Serves him right when the baby screams right into his delicate ears.

I really like the next bit where they are in his favourite room. It sounds so homely and comfortable, a real man's room. He and the "Brat" (snigger) are settled and comfy.

This section is lovely. The General has calmed and spends some time really looking and admiring his offspring. You describe this scene beautifully.

" The daiyokai's soft chuckle reverberated through his chest. The little baby curled closer"

Love that sentence, it is so heartwarming. The baby curls his fingers around the large one of his father and gets kissed gently on the forehead. I find myself grinning foolishly and feel like I am on a pink cloud. Gorgeous.

Then realising he is holding perfection, he names his heir.

"Welcome to the world, Sesshomaru"

This story was satisfying on so many levels. It had humour in abundance as well as fluffy feel good sentimentality.

I love how you have such a range of styles of writing. Truly wonderful and thank you so much again.
