I'll be honest, I really couldn't finish your story. It just got so hard to read the further I got in it. The spelling, punctuation, and grammar are something that you should really work on. I suggest getting a beta to proofread your chapters to improve the quality.

I enjoy the fact that you have paragraphs and you seperate the dialog between characters, I've seen far too many stories that are guilty of this.

Is this story AU and takes place at a later date? (Like the 90's or the new millennium) A lot of stuff you have included in your story just don't fit. (TV/DVD combo, Muppet Treasure Island, Red Bull)

I just don't understand the appeal of the twins. Is it just because they are foreign? They pretty much seem like 2d teenage cutout characters to me.

I guess I should finish the story to find out but I just can't because it doesn't draw me in. There really isn't much substance or character growth.

The combo TV is fine but I don't think that TV/DVD combo televisions were even available in the late 80's. I did a little research and the combo TV (TV/VCR) wasn't really distributed on the market until the mid to late 80's. I can only even imagine how expensive they were. My point, research is your friend.
