About the wedding dress, white was not worn by brides until Queen Victoria made it en-vogue when she married Prince Albert. In the American mini-series, 'North and South', Constance Hazard wore blue {because she and her husband, George, had done, well, ya know}, Madeline Main wore white first {when she wed a real snake} but when she married the man she truly loved, she wore a creamy yellow, Ashton Huntoon {she was a real bitch, honestly} wore white, but she was no virgin, as she had slept with many men, and Brett Hazard wore ivory white with a lot of lace {it was her own Mama's wedding gown}.

ooh, nice tie-in with the AWE plot... kinda sad ending, but i liked the rest of it! great job, I kind of wish you'd done chapters of between the events of 10 and 12... *offers cookie*

I love how you never changed Will's destiny to be Captain of The Flying Dutchman, but it is such a sad ending! A beautifully written fic - I enjoyed reading it so much! Your character interaction is excellent as well as your character development. I love how you brought Jack in at the end (I was wondering if and when he was going to turn up) and drew it back into the canon storyline (almost).

Perhaps a one shot sequel? Perhaps the family travelling to meet Will on his one day on land in ten years time...?

I am absolutely loving this fic! I had an idea once that Will could have noble blood in him, but I never thought about it enough to write a fic on it. You have done an amazing job so far, and I am loving every minute of it. Your character development and interaction is superb, and I love how you're bringing out the pirate in Will.

A few mistakes here or there, but that doesn't detract from the overall story.
