Master of the Boot chapter 1 . 3/8/2011 this is a great fic :D I always thought that the big boss of the later games was a bit on the mellow side. But it's good to see Big Boss the psycho that everyone remembers. It's totally believable too. In the end, the last differences between him and zero just slipped away. tA Master of teh Boot |
GamerBlake90 chapter 1 . 11/14/2009 Wow... Man, I'm impressed. Aside from when I saw the ending of Metal Gear Solid 4, I never did think much about how Big Boss/Naked Snake could have turned into such a sociopath before the first few Metal Gear games were born. Often villains are just portrayed as world-dominating maniacs, but it is their internal motives that can send our thoughts spiraling out of control when we first learn of them. No wonder the term "hero" is so subjective...it's all a matter of perspective, in both the light and the dark. Again, I'm very captivated by your work. This was brilliance to the fullest. Well done! Marie Nomad chapter 1 . 1/2/2009 I like this. I wondered how Big Boss changed from MGS3 to the Metal Gear original series. A man would change drastically in the thirty years. I never played the original series but I got the gist of this. I don't blame Big Boss for feeling wronged by being cloned by Zero. Being betrayed by one of his best friends would make anyone snap. |
YaoiSongstress07 chapter 1 . 1/1/2009 Glowing piece of brilliance. I also loved the addition of an author's note at the end. It shows that you not only put forth the effort to create a masterful gem, but to explain everything to your readers as well. I always admire that about an author. A poignant, mesmerizing piece to show the friction between Big Boss and Snake's birth. Thanks for the inspiration, by the way. |
