It's neat to see character traits like this remembered. Canon didn't do it enough, having other things to focus on, but I really like seeing a bit about Honda and bikes and Otogi and his childhood gaming things. And the image of Anzu dancing like that, to something that could almost be a little real ... very bittersweet, and beautiful.

This was a most beautiful piece (though I feel my sister spoiled the effect by listening to horrible Wii Music tunes in the background of me reading the story ). You truly do have such a great understanding not just of Anzu herself but also of the way she connects to other characters. It was particularly good to see her interactions with Ryou and Otogi since we don't hear much about how those characters connect in the show. Wonderful all around.

I like how you had Anzu have her moments with each important member of the cast. I especially liked Otogi and Bakura's respective parts.

I think I can relate to Anzu on that: singing or humming music out of the blue anywhere anytime without realising it...

This captures pretty much of Anzu's thoughs and her passion for dance, comparing it to the way duel is for Yuugi and Jou;as well as her personality;slapping Jou with the wet mop is priceless xD

I honestly enjoyed this - I think you captured the post-canon feeling extremely well. I always felt terrible for Anzu, and you definitely imbue her silent pain with dignity and gravitas.
