| Juri chapter 9 . 3/19/2019 I started this with hopes it would be one of my favourites, pushed through chapters when it didn't, and ultimately ended disappointed. Rose, in this particular story, came off as rather unlikeable and there was no real chemistry between her and Scorpius who came off as an edgy manchild. Lily was a one note character that didn't seem to do much other than throw tantrums. The story was lacklustre and cliche with no real hits of originality. I did, however, love the music taste displayed through the headers of the chapters. They were the best damn thing about this sloppy mess. |

| Guest chapter 1 . 12/8/2018 Ahhhhhh I can't say how much I love this story- I first read it when it was originally posted, but I don't think I've ever actually reviewed. I kind of remembered it about a week ago and I think I've read it about 10 times since then. I don't think there is such thing as a perfect story, but this one certainly comes close to being one. The sheer wittiness of the writing, combined with some of the most lovable characters I've met-they all just seem to come together. Scorpions and Rose should be characters you hate in this fic. They are arrogant, and not afraid to point of the ridiculousness if their world. However, they draw you in until you are 100% rooting for them. The writing is absolutely gorgeous, and seems to capture the very essence of Rose's personality. This is the kind of story I want a prequel and a sequel for, but when I think about it, it would ruin the charm of it. Wouldn't it? So this is just a little bit of appreciation for a story that deserves so so much more. If you decide to take up posting on here again at some point, I'll be here :) Much love- Alice. |
