I'm so glad I found this story! It's my new favourite story on FanFiction; it should have been wrong, but it was so emotional, and heartfelt. You're right, John and Emma shouldn't have ended up together, and as sad as it was, it was the perfect ending.

I think the story couldn't have ended any other way. It honestly seemed similar to what would have happened if this situation were real [except, perhaps, minus the marriage to Jeff, haha.] But, honestly, I think if they had ended up together it would have killed the point that you [i think] were trying to get across.

This story is brilliant, it's honest and true and you're brilliant for writing it.

It's not the happy ending I expected to get.

I was shocked when I read the first line.
