All these years later and you're still keeping me up all night... Honestly - barely 4 hours sleep last night because of this fic. I can't remember how many years it's been since I last read one of your fictions but they've lost none of their lustre - I'm still highly entertained and still highly envious of your abilities as an author.

3 3 3 Huzzah indeed! I love this fic. Knowing it exists makes me smile. I will never have the aptitude for Faire speech, but I love the ease and playfulness with which you write it. I will definitely come back to this fic over and over again in the future :D

There are so many cackleworthy things in this chapter. The witch's crystal ball and its subwoofer! Drunken Selphie mangling a Midsummer's Night's Dream. Fujin having none of this nonsense, thank you. And of course the reconciliation and the HOHOHO I anticipate in the next chapter! Cheers!

I think my favorite part of this chapter is Xu's wholehearted enthusiasm for maintaining her torture tools. It's so earnest... Semipsychotic and creepy a bit, but also the mark of someone who takes a great deal of pride in their work and really wants to share that joy with others. I also like how comfortable Xu and Quistis are with each other. I really like how solid you make their friendship.

THIS. THIS was the chapter that made me think the old witch was Edea in disguise, especially because you mentioned Cid being so drunk he couldn't leave the loo, so naturally it seemed like Edea would be bored and want to play matchmaker among the kids.

But anyway, I love Raijin's sweet earnest attempts in this chapter. He's such a good-hearted lad.

The inevitable misunderstanding chapter :( Though Xu's enthusiasm toward her role and those poor turkeys was definitely a gleaming highlight.

That is some serious misdirection right there XD You don't do things in halves, do you? No? Yes. What is the point in halves? Hahah

Ranger Cupid to the rescue! And I am astounded at your ability to come up with dirty euphemisms! It always takes me ages.

I love love love the kissing scene. It's so sweet that it hurts and the jarring interruption is like getting a bat to the face.

Seifer's a really good shot if he can hit flying targets with a bow. I speak from experience. Oof.

And can I say that I really enjoy how open Selphie and Irvine are with each other? A lot of times in fic I have to read about them breaking up or otherwise being distressed over Irvine's roving eye, but I feel like this interpretation is closer to how they'd work IRL. It suits their silly natures better.

I absolutely adore when Quistis gets playful and starts messing with Seifer's dreams. It just seems exactly like a thing she would do and exactly the kind of thing he'd be susceptible to.

XD The shipper in me squeals hardcore at the potential tent-sharing! Though Fujin and Raijin 'sharing a tent' made me laugh just as awkwardly as though I had been around to personally witness the thing, because there's really no other response. Once again, totally delighted! I like the crabby old witch though tbh the first time I read through, I got it in my head that it was Edea in disguise. I'll make a note in the future chapter where the idle suspicion started to solidify.

You have such a delightful way with words! Seifer arrogantly flexing, Raijin spouting off the list of titles, and Fujin's on-point commentary made me laugh so hard (and it makes perfect sense that she'd be great at pantomime! 3), though I will admit that very time Selphie talks, I have to read her lines aloud because they're just that much fun. Of course, I also enjoy Xu's steadfast dedication to Quistis and general mayhem. Yee-hee-heeesss XD

I can't believe I didn't write any reviews for this story because it is a delight the entire way through. So I'm going to correct that one chapter at a time.

Highlights:

I am always a fan of Quistis flipping someone off, so her doing it behind her hair is just glorious. Actually the entire opening is just glorious. I love the image of Seifer chasing Zell all over the field and Seifer also wishing Quistis would lean down just a bit further so he could admire what work the corset is doing for her magnificent bosoms. And the cafeteria ladies yelling for Zell's blood while carrying baskets of turkey legs is also just aces. I'm glad I'm reading this again, actually, because the first time I just galloped through the narrative, propelled by delight, and now I can take my time to really enjoy everything. Cheers!

If you're writing this in a hospital, im either impressed that you're able to conjure up a romantic state of mind there, or vaguely disconcerted. ...why can't it be both? Heh.
