I'll respond to both Duncan's and Courtney's Bachelor/ Bachelorette Parties as a set since I'm a little short on time. You can count them as two seperate reviews in your mind :)

First off, and this is very important:

I've got to say, drunken Duncan was a fantastic treat since it's so rarely done in stories and was so believable for his character. Singing, dancing, stage diving and bar fighting while his brothers (in arms/in-law/in blood) try to keep him under control because they promised Courtney. Just fantasticly hilariious.

And Courtney of course, will only loosen up to copious amounts of alcohol. I totally want Bridgette to plan my Bachelorette Party, by the way. She seems like the best Maid of Honor anyone could possibly have. It was a nice twist too that it was COURTNEY instead of DUNCAN that got arrested at his/her party lol. A fun and unexpected little twist.

Hahaha! I was hoping we'd get to se the rest of the TDI cast sometime, and what a great place to put them! Great job on aging everyone accordingly so that they're still the same characters we all know and love and still believably different to account for the passage of time :) My favorites had to be art-teacher Gwen and beautiful, braceless Beth though Heather's transformation was particularly touching.

You know, one of my pet peeves when it comes to future stories is that I always find it un-believable when characters marry the people they dated when they were teenagers. The way you present it, however, (especially in the case of Courtney and Duncan) makes for the most likely and believable situation I've ever come across. Besides, especially in the case of TDI, I'm sure surviving all those near death experiences and all that time living together in the middle of the wild unknown creates stronger bonds than just any other teenage friendships and relationships.

And I must agree, Duncan probably owns handcuffs already but they were a very *thoughtful* gift on Lizzy's part ;)

PS: I think I've caught on with the whole "Lizzy/Izzy" similarities and I was almost relieved when you didn't place them side by side. For the record, I'm particularly fond of Lizzy ;)

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic line. It gave me that beautiful, more-than-just-the-words, Casablanca moment sensation where the orchestra swells in the background and the truth sets you free. Really a great story, but you just sold me on reading the rest of it all the way :)

Over all, I'm loving this story so much more than I thought I would. You make all their family and friends very real and believable so that they don't just scream "I'M AN OC!" from the rooftops. You've given the TDI category a wonderful new sophistication while still keeping true to the hearts of Courtney and Duncan. No small feat. Kudos!

PS: I'm also getting the suspision that you's handled such wedding drama before, since your details are so specific. I can almost feel you putting yourself into this story and it's a nice touch :)

All I can say is just wow. This fic had me blown away and I love it tremendously! You keep everyone in character which takes great skill and the fact that you write so wonderfully just adds to your list of talents :)

I can't wait to read rest of the chapters. I need to give my eyes a break.
