This story is so good. I'm really loving Brass more and more, and I love how you captured his relationship with Ellie. :]

Bravo! Excellent handling of the Brass family dynamic - you know your family angst, you do.

It's a good story, and I wouldn't call it twisted. Ellie's late night reaction yes. But she was also testing Jim trying to be sure where she stood. I think he handled it and her rather well. And while I'm a sucker for the sad ending. I'm glad this one turned out as it did.

I have been waiting forever for someone to write a story about ellie and jim brass. I thought it was an excellent interpretation of the characters, well thought out. Thanks for the change of scenery...TRPLXL2

I'd love to see a sequel maybe with Sofia's reaction to all this - There was no love lost between her and Ellie, and I think it would be interesting to see Ellie dealing with a relationship between Sofia and Jim.
