I sincerely hope you do update because not knowing what is about to happen is torture at its finest. Now try not knowing for 3 years. *sigh* I hope you do update eventually.
On another note...

When she looked up again, Akaba was wearing a tiny smile. "That sounds like a good plan. Just don't become so focused on that path that you close off all others." HE LIKES HER. I KNEW IT. I KNOW IT. I HAD MY SUSPICIONS AT FIRST BUT NOW I'M ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE.
(Again, they wouldn't be bad as a couple, but I'm still Kouta/Juri ALL DA WAY. It'd be nice if you put in some uber cute, sexy moments between the two of them.)
I know Julie is waiting for him to get closure, but they both like each other? Couldn't they have some more toe curling moments together?
I understand, the pace of this story is set to be slow, but it's reeeealllly slow and I've grown impatient for more Kouta/Juri moments since they're so far and few between!
(When they were alone in the room together, I thought for sure something hot was gonna happen. And though something beautiful did happen, I wish there could have been some more, ya know?)
Anyway, I've reached the last chapter and eagerly await the next time you review! Now that I've read all 11 chappies and reviewed on them all, I'll go back and reread the whole story!

You're Hiruma seemed kinda OOC... That's not a bad thing, it was just interesting to note how different he is from how I perceived him in the manga. But it wasn't a bad Hiruma; just different.

Once again, you've managed to completely throw a socket wrench in the plot! I totally did not expect Akaba and Koutarou to be half bros! I really didn't expect that!
I have a request. I know it may not be the order or timing you planned for the story, but I was wondering if you could accentuate the Koutarou/Julie sexual tension a bit more. I dunno, like add more maybe? Or reinforce their moments so that people curl their toes in excitement only to crumble and almost die when it doesn't go anywhere.
IDK. Sorry, it's a lame suggestion, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

You know for a second there, you had me thinking the same thing as Julie. That maybe Akaba had a thing for Koutarou. Not that that's bad... (to be honest that would be purtty sexy)
You took me by surprise! I didn't expect them to get stranded on a deserted island! You threw a monkey wrench right at the plot! I'm interested to see how you'll play this out now.

I must admit. I was pretty surprised that the whole Jessica thing ended so quickly. It's not bad per se cuz now my KoutaJuri will finally have a chance to be together! But it did kind of feel a little rushed. Oh well. I've only read 7 chapters. Can't wait for the next four! I'm excited to see how you play this out.

You know a good sign of writing is when the reader actually responds wholeheartedly to the story. And let me tell you now, I've responded quite well to this chapter. I already loathe Jessica. I feel like I'm in Julie's shoes: trying hard to accept and understand the girl dating the guy you like, but too exasperated and annoyed at her to be able to make the full effort.
Another great chapter! Some might think it didn't add to the plot, but au contraire, this chapter actually gave some insight into the way the mind of Julie works and the torture she is essentially putting herself through by trying to maintain her friendship with Koutarou. It's actually a bit upsetting :( It's like in her mind the only way to keep the friendship is by befriending his bimbo girlfriend though it pains her immensely to have to hang out with the girl who snatched up the guy she likes.
She's very mature in this story and I appreciate how you didn't turn Julie into a sniveling, whining girl who behaves as if she's lost everything once Koutarou was taken. I hope her character development remains solid and she doesn't become weak cuz I rather like this Julie. I like her a lot!

And thus, the plot thickens. I love how Akaba is still so sensible, but why do I get the underlying feeling that he feels something more for Juri?
(Not that that'd be all that bad. They'd be a cute couple in their own way, though my FEELS ARE ONLY FOR JULIE AND KOUTAROU!)

It's so interesting how now Julie is pining after him... I'm interested in seeing how this plays out.

I am in love with this story. There is something confusing though. The time skips are huge and all over the place and it confuses me. Maybe you could tell us at the beginning of the chapter?

Oh man, I am in love with this story. Eyeshield 21 doesn't really give Julie too much of a personality, but you definitely managed to get around that and give her her own personality, while still faithfully sticking to Koutarou and Akaba's entertaining quirks. Your story is so much fun to read!
