After some series of running and finally making his way to his dome shaped abode,Kirby felt the air falling from his lungs while panting as his poor heart was pumping faster.
Today was a rough disappointing day for him. Why like any life can be unfair to him and to accept the natures of it. But that to him is nothing compared to this hurtful event with Knuckle Joe. Kirby would never be able to get choose feeling out of his chest. And that felt painful to the young puffball like if feeling like he would rather die in depression.
Flopping his head first to his bed for 20 minutes,the puffball filled the sheets with warm wet tears feeling lonely with no annoying bird to sqauk at him. Why? Why can't he just get this over with?
Why can't he just tell him that he love him? He felt sick with anguish and frustration of himself for letting out that stupid reaction at Joe. Just crying and running away from him and didn't stop when he called out to him to come back! The poor baby thought he can win his affections this time,but he failed. Failed like big time!
If Joe denies Kirby's feelings to him,He does not want to hear anyone say to him,"It's best to be loved,and to never be loved at all!" Hearing that in his mind made him want to throw a fit,and he did throw a fit like pulling down the curtains,kicking the table and throwing the bowl of fruit.
He threw the sheets over himself and that he felt that he wanted to shut the world out for good.
Even though his enemies like King Dedede wanted to challenge him,he would just ignore them for now on. This could be the new Kirby that no one will ever love for now on.
Just then,a knock was heard on the door. Kirby just ignored it and curled himself like a ball on the sheets. There was a knock again and this time the same voice that Kirby feared was heard.
"Kirby,are you in here?" The punk kid asked.
The poor puffball is too much in a shattered mood to answer.
"Kirby I know you're in there, you can't ignore me forever!" Knuckle Joe said.
Nothing! Still no answer! Kirby only crawled and his himself under the mattress.
"Okay,I'm coming in!" Joe said.
Kirby would felt safe as he thought that he locked the door to keep the fighter who could be to hardcore for the young hero's affections out,but that hope was wrong. The door was free to open. Darn it!
"Where are ya?" Joe asked.
As long as Kirby didn't say anything or make any movement of the object he would make true young fighter know that he's not here. And that all of this would just only be...-
"Ah-choo!" Kirby was bothered by his allergies by the dust from under his bed.
Joe grinned and using his strength,he was able to move the bed away showing the appearance of the young star warrior still hiding under the blankets. He took the sheets and did the same thing showing his whole life form self.
The young fighter was not going to let Kirby get away this time as he got the young puffball cornered by the wall with himself closer to Kirby.
"You're not getting away with this this time." He said with determination.
He then change the expression knowing that he would scared Kirby into tears again. Though he is a tough fighter and that it would kill him to be soft on innocent lifeforms. But no one is here to see that. So he should do this soft thing with Kirby. He sighed before he spoke to him with a gentle tone.
"Look Kirby,I'm sorry. It's just that...I was worried about what was with you. You seemed all nervous,your skin is all red,and you look like that you're acting strange with me. If you just tell me what's wrong then I promise you that it would be alright if I understand."
Hearing it made Kirby have enough courage to calm down and that this may be the perfect opportunity to let his feeling out...for real this time.
Not wasting any time,Kirby smiled a bit and got up to his feet.
He land his stubs onto Joe's fighting gloves and sat on Joe's lap as the young fighter looked concern on what Kirby was trying to say.
Before he would ask him,his lips were suddenly touched by Kirby's in a kiss. Knuckle Joe was surprised at first as he now knew that this was the answer he's been wanting from Kirby all along. But he suddenly enjoyed it and returned his kiss. Kirby giggled as he felt dreamingly in a deep passion kiss as Joe picked him up in his arms into a hug.
Kirby hugged him back as his feet were wrapped around Joe's waist. Satisfied after a whole minute,the two then broke the kiss and Joe smiled. Kirby thought he would be angry but he smiled back.
"So that's why you were acting strange around me? You love me huh?" He asked.
Kirby nodded as he rested his head on Joe's chest. Finally,he showed his feelings to the young fighter,and he accepted it. "Love you Joe." Kirby let out those muffled words out.
Joe sat Kirby on his lap and kissed his head. "I love you too Kirby." He said before the two hugged again.

The afternoon has arrived in Dreamland,and a young pink hero Kirby was resting on a bench after having a rough training with Knuckle Joe. As he was enjoying the soft breeze,the young puffball was now in his thoughts about his strange feelings about his fighter friend. Is it that he like him? That's that,but it's more than 'like'. Maybe he love him. That could be it. How could e young hero fall for his fighter friend already? Kirby knew that loving a boy which people say that it's being gay was wrong. One cappy kid told him that nobody should be gay in this world,and that it could be against the law of nature. Every time the young fighter comes close to him,Kirby can't help but blush or let out a soft giggle. Maybe if Kirby can keep his distance from Joe,than maybe the feelings he has for him might go away. But where.
Heck,anyplace he can go somewhere far away,the punk kid just might leave the pink child alone for a while,like somewhere in the Whispy Woods forest,or maybe in the mountains where Dyna Blade lives,or maybe...-
"Hiya Kirby." Said a young male voice.
Kirby gulped and blush when he recognized that voice with no doubt.
Knuckle Joe.
Kirby turned in a deep shade of pink when he saw a blonde spiked haired punk kid approached to him with a cute big grin on his face.
"You looken' tired huh?" Knuckle Joe said rubbing his nose. "I bet I beat the energy out of ya."
If the child was older enough to respond, even though Joe can understand that he doesn't talk much Kirby had only one response. And that's a nod.
Satisfied by his response,Joe grinned wide and sat on the bench beside Kirby. Much to Kirby's surprise as his heart races. Kirby would start to run off somewhere away from the fighter like if he would dare run off to the islands in the middle of the ocean of Ripple Fields.
The young Star Warrior just only scooted further away while the demon beast hunter didn't notice that.
As he was just on the spot on the bench six inches away from the end,his fighter friend takes a look at him which made Kirby stop at short.
"Y'know Kirby,is it the dang sun,cause you looked like your skin color is getting deeper.
He was right of course,Kirby's skin seemed deeper shade than pink. He was...blushing madly.
Kirby hid his blush as he was scoffing close to the end.
"Kirby are you scoffing away from me?" Joe asked suspicious of Kirby's reaction.
That questioned scared Kirby as his was loosing balance and fell off the bench and hit the ground. "Ow."
Kirby turned over his face from the ground to look up and saw that Joe was standing over before him with a serious look on his face. Kirby started to sweat nervously a bit.
"Kirby,what the heck is wrong with you." Joe asked.
Kirby was still to nervous to talk to him.
"Oh I get it..." Joe said. Kirby was getting nervous of what Joe's guess might be.
"You're probably embarrassed by your skin huh?" Joe said.
Kirby sighed with relief and let out a nod in a lie.
"I don't mind that." Joe said and help Kirby up,Kirby did like that by the way as the touch of the young fighter tickled him a bit.
Back on the bench,Kirby was still to nervous to be sitting close to Joe.
He doesn't want anyone to thing that he's gay,but he can't help it. Kirby would felt deeply ashamed of himself by that and they would scorn him even his crush would smack the heck out of him.
So,they're other people that are different with love,which they should say to Kirby that it don't matter. Like if it would kill a lifeforms not to show his or her love to another. They never know what the other will react until they unleash they're true feelings to them. Wherever the heart belongs,it TRULY belongs there! It would do anything to win another's affection. If the other does feel the same way then it feels the same way,but if the other doesn't then,let's just say that it's their lost!
Kirby knew that he can no longer keep this up forever. He sighed softly as he turned to Knuckle Joe with a red blush and a sugary feeling. There was no one around to witness them,so this time it has to be Kirby's chance to realise his feelings.
As thin as the soft wind,shaded color as the evening sunlight,he saw that this should be the right oppertunity to create this upcoming never forgetting event that would last in one's kind forever.
The pink child scoffed a bit closer to the punk kid all short breathing and the quick thumps of his heart as the heat bathed on his soft skin until he felt a touch of Joe's clothing.
Kirby felt himself freeze as if time slowed down for him as his scoots finally made it to the destination.

Kirby would be getting some more distance as he still did not get used to his nervousness,too late to noticed that Joe spotted him. "Kirby what the heck?" He said. "Are you sweating?"
Kirby felt paralyzed and showed his madly deep blush as his skin was no longer pink. The color that unfused with white...Red of course.
The punk kid do noticed that in surprise and once again gets all suspicious.
"Why the heck you're acting strange? You better not skip out on answering me!" He let the stern answer to his question as he firmly grasp on Kirby's arm stub.
Kirby was sweating even more as he was feeling lost in a scared warm feeling of the young fighter. For a whole minute with no answer or response from the pink child,Knuckle Joe growled with a scowl and pulled Kirby closer to him.
"You better answer or else it's a fist meeting you're face!" He demand with a threat to his tone.
Kirby gulped with a shiver as he felt series of cold dead fears entering his soft body.
To him,just letting out an answer at he's been wanting to could make this situation with him could make it 100% more worse.
The young puffball's eyes were blinded and wet...his vision seemed fuzzy. The tears were exiting from his blue eyes as the young fighter's anger was replaced with shock as his firm grip has let go of Kirby's arm.
The pink child with no other response beside one thing...that is running off.
Kirby dashed off away from the young fighter not hearing a distant call from him until he reached to his house.

(Kirby was sitting on the bench beside his fighter friend Knuckle Joe feeling some deep crush
for him. Kirby then scooted closer to Joe catching his attention.
"Oh hey Kirby. What's up?" Joe asked.
"Poyo...love you..." Kirby said with a red blush.
"What?" Joe asked rubbing his nose.
Kirby climbed on Joe's lap and hugged him while he pressed his lips against Joe's in a passionate kiss as Joe was surprised at first but then hugged and kissed him back.)

Aw, such a cute story! After reading something this good, I'm hooked on this pairing too:) The description of their feelings was done perfectly and kept me on the edge of my seat, reading intently, the entire time.
