The beginning is done nicely, but I think, that Malfoy could have already been awared about the burglary (a slight tip would be enough) and storm through the gallery in search of information. From Jac (or Jacques, as I assume :P), perhaps.

What about the next part? A world-wide conspiracy? Some really serious international gig, involving italian smugglers/russian mafia/yakuza/CIA/british MI6/foreign extremists?

BTW: Isn't Uffizi near Florence in mid-northern Italy? I had a really big impression, that everything was set somewhere in southern France. Jac used french words, Draco mentioned about "going back to France" & Weasleys had a winery... I'm quite puzzled about the setting. ;/
