I like this one. As far as Duo's braid...well, now you have me wanting to partner up with a friend of mine and finish writing a five-year-old fic called "The Many Uses of a Braid" in which we randomly show off the many things Duo uses that beautiful braid for. I hope to see more soon. _

I think I heard/read once that Duo was originally supposed to be a girl, and when they changed that, they just didn't get rid of the braid.

But in the series, it represents Sr. Helen...She was the person who took care of his hair and taught him how to braid it.

I liked this. You did a good job of channeling Duo. I think his braid is his version of a blanky. We all have that thing that makes us feel safe and secure, something that is hard to leave behind. Duo's braid was the one thing that he could keep.

I liked your duo and really enjoyed the last comments indicating Heero's Duo watching. I hope you write more cause this was very entertaining and a pleasure to read.

I believe that it is a general consensis that the braid is a link to his memories of Solo and the church. Love the story!

Basically when Duo was sent to the orphanage, Sister Helen, wanted to cut his hair, but he wouldn't let her. So as an alternative, she braided it for him. This event is in Duo's story of Episode Zero.
