Aw . . . that was SO sad! I'm almost in tears! T.T That is SO dreaking SAD! I've got the image of Ryuzaki's face, his eyes so full of emotion, as his fatherly figure pressed the button . . . and then again, right before his eyes closed for the final time . . . *sob*

Thank you for writing a fic about Watari, I don't think he's appreciated or recognized enough in the fandom. Just a few questions...did you mean to write a different year for Watari's birthdate? If he was born in 1993, and then died in 2004, it would make him 11. Maybe you meant 1923 or 1933? Also, I like how you wrote about Near and Mello visiting the grave without using their names. I was curious as to who the pale man with dark hair is. It could only be L, but L died the same day as Watari, so I wasn't sure. Anyway, this was a very touching fic and very beautifully written. Thank you!

Yes, you're right! Watari needs more love, even if it only comes through focusing on L. His death was so overshadowed by L's, but L didn't want him to die.

So thanks for this, it's really cute. And let's hope they meet again.

-cries- Oh, that was so sad. I love Watari, I really love Watari. -sniff- This just makes it better. And poor L; "for you, old friend..." That sentence kills me inside, and it makes me remember that our time with people is random. -hugs loved ones tightly- I think I can learn from this fic...I have to stop being so reluctant to tell everyone how I feel.
