After I read your HHTYD story with Ruffnut I decided to check out your others; while looking through them I did a double-take,
'They wrote a story about me?'

I looked closer and realized, it was about the Prophetess of Greek mythology!

Great Story!

I really enjoyed the simplicity that you wrote with. It flowed nicely and struck a cord in my heart. I loved this little short story. Well done!

This story was genius. Before reading this story, I had no idea who Cassandra was. After reading about half of it, I wanted to read up on her story. By the end, I knew that I didn't have to read about her at all. You captured everything. It was beautiful and extremely well written. Something you included that very few stories have is heart.

You have a talent.

Happy Writing,

EmilyHelene

Cassandra has always been my favorite mortal in Greek mythology. I am a student of Latin and was translating part of the Aeneid where Cassandra is mentioned today, and decided to search for some Cassandra-related fanfiction. So I stumbled upon your story first, and what a poignant tale of her tragic life this is. So beautiful. :)

very well-written

So I saw this on Zoe Nightshade's favorites, and I decided to check this out.

I love Cassandra like you do. But she never seems to get any good luck, does she? I love all the moments you've written about that seem to illustrate every part of her life, which for me would involve poring over several Greek mythology books. And the fear-of-horses thing was creative and realistic as well.

In all, I loved this. It was a wonderfully written oneshot.

Devious Child chapter 1 . 1/15/2010
This story was great. I read in your profile that you really like reviews. I normally don't bother reviewing unless I have something constructive to offer, but I didn't want to end up on your wall of shame.
aesthetic promises chapter 1 . 1/3/2010
Very creative and original - beautifully written, and it was a delight to read.

Sincerely,

Zoe Nightshade chapter 1 . 12/30/2009
Beautifully written, and very complete.
viennacantabile chapter 1 . 10/2/2009
So, I love the idea of Cassandra's fear of horses, I love Cassandra not wanting to be named Alexandra (well, I wouldn't want to have the same name as my idiot little brother who brings destruction down on Troy, either -_-;), I love the baby!Cassandra and toddler!Hector exchange (so sad and heartbreaking, sniff), I love Cassandra's eerie freaking-out about the horse, I love the description of Apollo's voice as "rich with light," and I love her interaction with Paris, and I love Coroebus (but not Othronus, the bitch, THEY ARE SO BIG DEAL AND GEE-TAR), and I love the feeling of impending calamity over the whole thing, and I LOVE HECTOR HECTOR NO, DON'T GO, GAH! And just the way the fall of Troy is written makes me tear up because it is SO SAD, and again, more impending doom, and SNIFF I LOVE YOU CASSANDRA, DON'T DIE.

...and now that I have basically told you that I love everything in this fic, THERE SHOULD BE NO INFERIORITY COMPLEXES. BECAUSE THIS IS FANTASTIC, TWINNIE.
meowthecat chapter 1 . 9/15/2009
Really, really sad. You capture the darkness of the Trojan War and its aftermath very well. This is definitely going in my favorites!
Whillenwolf chapter 1 . 1/17/2009
Wow.

That was amazing, but truly sad.
