I love this chapter! The Angela-Brennan friendship was captured beautifully, as was both of their personalities.

This is great - a simple context (going Xmas shopping) which has underlying complexity, and you've provided an excellent insight into Brennan's relationship with both Angela and Booth. You've captured her voice so well, too, and that's not an easy feat to accomplish. I love the tie-in to Conman in the Meth Lab, and how Brennan is quick to correct Angela when she assumes the elaborate decorations have attracted her attention, rather than the tree's innate beauty. In Chapter 2, again, the simplicity of decorating the tree is masking the wealth of unspoken emotions going on beneath the surface; and I love the ending and the lack of fanfare about the realisations they've come to:

“What are you looking for?” he asks, intrigued.

“You don't appear to have any mistletoe.”

Booth pulls back, regarding me with curiosity. “Want me to go get some?”

“It is a tradition.”

Wow, I loved this, both chapters. While the first would have been complete and perfect in itself, the second was a sweet little insight into Bones and Booth's relationship. I especially liked Bones' interaction with Parker, and the last sentence of the first chapter.

Okay, so this was amazing. Nothing like BB fluff to get you in the mood for Christmas, right? I like that slowly and surely enough, all the subtlety (I know, that's probably not spelled right), is falling away. They aren't always playing around safely anymore. And you're right about that look they shared. More than once this season a look they've shared has lasted longer than necessary.

And I like that the last chapter had some Brennan/Angela, too. I love their friendship, even if not that many people focus that much on it in the world of fanfic. Anyway, the end was my absolute favorite, and something I could maybe see happening if we would have had another christmas episode this season. Great job!
