I am so, so glad to see this is still being worked on. You have NO idea how excited I was to see the email notification. Poor Jake having to convince his Gramps to stay for Pumadyne to ruin his legacy [ (not that he would if he knew). I wonder how the great Prof shall feature in this AU?! Oooooh. Don't keep me waiting Sagey!

You know what, that was actually pretty entertaining, a nice little alternative origin fic. I really liked the tone you used in your dialogue, it was easy to identify each character just from the way they spoke; I could actually imagine the character saying what you had them say.

One or two points of criticism:

Firstly, I noticed in a couple of instances you switched tenses mid-sentence; you went from past to present tense, at the beginning of chapter 3, for example. It breaks flow a bit and is something to watch out for. I realise that that chapter was written two years ago, just some friendly advice.

Secondly, this isn't really criticism, more just personal preference: I'm not completely sold on the inclusion of pop-culture references. Sometimes it can be an interesting way to expand a universe, but I feel that for something like SWAT Kats which has basically no ties to the real world at all, it can feel a bit jarring. Like I said, that's just my personal preference, so no need to take it seriously.

Been away awhile and what brings me back, an incredible piece of work! I love how you turned the original story line into a covert operation sanctioned by Feral. Too bad it didn't really go this way as I think it would have had more depth and fun to it than the original show did. This is so cool and I hope you continue this alternate storyline for a bit longer.
