Anonymous-ish chapter 1 . 3/21/2016 Erm... I'm sorry, and please don't get upset, but I think you meant Hercules? Forgive me if I'm wrong, though. I'm only eleven. |
Guest chapter 3 . 8/28/2014 Then don't have an affair dumbass |
Guest chapter 3 . 8/28/2014 Wouldn't be a problem if Zeus's dumbass would keep it in his pants. |
Guest chapter 1 . 7/24/2014 Simply great. |
AsterianWishes chapter 6 . 9/1/2010 -cries- This hasn't been updated in so long, please tell me you're not abandoning it... It's orginal and well written. Never read many stories about Hebe, so I find yours entrapturing. Um. Update soon? :D *Asteria* |
Sapphire Warrioress chapter 6 . 9/17/2009 Another awesome chapter. I love how you're developing Hebe's character, she really comes into her own here, openly confronting Hera and declaring her support and affection for Alcides. You did a wonderful job showing how indifferent the Greek gods were to the fates of mortals, accept perhaps when a certain human life will somehow affect their existence. Eurystheus sounds like a jerk and I'm looking forward to reading his reactions to Alcides completing all of his impossible tasks. Excellent job. |
Sapphire Warrioress chapter 5 . 9/8/2009 There are so many awesome facets to this chapter. Sorrow, determination, sensuality, resignation and acceptance. Your portrayal of the relationship between Alcides and Hebe is very tender, with hints of what will come in the future. Excellent job. |
Stardawn chapter 6 . 6/28/2009 it's really sounding great. However, I've been noticing some tense irregularities, quote punctuation errors, and comma misplacements here and there, so you might want to look these chapters over or get a beta. But let me assure you that this is possibly the best fanfic I've read so far in this fandom. |
Sapphire Warrioress chapter 4 . 5/25/2009 This chapter is awesome. I only recently read up on the birth of Hercules, so it was neat to see such a unique retelling for this chapter. Again, too many fan fiction writers just look at the hero's deeds, not the story of his life. I also loved that you brought in Ilithyia. She's another mythology character you don't hear much about, as is Tiresias and his predictions which are already coming true for Hebe. I feel sorry for that servant girl, especially as she sounded like a loyal person who didn't deserve her punishment. I liked how you emphasized Hebe's indifference to the girl's fate, it helps your readers realize how gods's perspectives of a mortal's fate or struggles are so different from the human viewpoint. Also your choice to use the name Alcides adds a lyrical depth to your writing, it's so much more poetic and mysterious than Hercules. Excellent job. |
Sapphire Warrioress chapter 3 . 5/18/2009 I love the idea behind this story. Too often all you ever hear a bout is the 12 tasks, so it's refreshing to read a story where the focus is on the gods and their role in the hero's life. This chapter was very rich in description. Your portrayal of the differences in Zeus and Hera's power and immortal forms was fascinating to read, and I especially liked how you associated Hera with femininity emphasizing its subtle yet deep strength. Wonderful job. |
Smiling Eyes chapter 6 . 5/12/2009 This is fantastic! Keep it coming! I cannot wait for the sequel! |
Rain chapter 5 . 4/4/2009 I love this story! It's one of my favorite on FF. |
AppleJuiceRoxMySox chapter 4 . 3/24/2009 I really like this story! :D I love Hebe's point of view about Heracles and how she is helping Heracles from birth till when she finally becomes his wife. So keep on updating please because I do like what I'm seeing so far. :D |
fallingwater123 chapter 3 . 3/18/2009 I can't wait until we get into the juicy stuff! Another great chapter, of course! Update soon please! |
ArtemisRocks chapter 1 . 3/2/2009 Hebe is awesome! Thanks for writing a story with her as the main character. We hardly ever hear from Hebe! |
