I just read GravityMuse's drabble series using this exercise, and I loved the whole idea behind it so much that when I realized you had started it all (here, anyway) I had to come see :) . The Meli one tore at something inside me, although to be honest I couldn't tell you exactly what it was; maybe it's the way it puts a voice to that inability to keep distanced from something that you KNOW is slowly destroying you... can't be sure. I tried to keep my favourites stored in my head so that I could accurately make comments when I finished, but really I apparently just ended up overloading my poor, tiny brain, so I'm going to mention the last drabble with Paige and Henry (fantastic), and the one featuring Patty and her kiss with Sam. The "survival" line was excellent. I enjoyed all of them, but those are the three that are sticking out in my head. I hope you try this exercise again someday soon!

that was so sweet, very well done and sounds like a challenge id like to try. i loved them all and think the paige / glenn one has the potential to be a great story too :)

So when I was first reading this I have to be honest with you, I didn't understand the point. I was sitting there trying to figure out the connection between the mini stories but I couldn't until I read your author's note. I like how you put that at the end, definitely made everything come together and I think it's a really cool idea and I might try it with another show. Your writing was fabulous as always, no complaints there; I liked that you switched it up with tons of different characters. It's always a treat to have a new story to read from you!

very interesting. some surprising choices of drabbles, but i liked them.

i really liked it. every section rang true, and explored little parts that the show didn't go into, which is what i adore most about your wrting. being a huge phoebe/cole fan, i thought both of their paragraphs very satisfying. the one about meli was awesum too...

Wow: I can't believe you were able to put together complete, coherent passages by following this exercise. I love the idea of it, and the execution is quite lovely. I think the Melinda one is my favorite, too - it's very vivid and physical.

And, oh, Ocean City Girl - great song. Glad it came up on your rotation!

I like this idea, it's awesome. I have to say though that my favourite one? (which is so weird, because it's not even canon) is Meli's one. I love how you've written it and I love the opening line. Great stuff.
