I really respect and admire your work. This entry was no exception. Great plot here and you've got the set up for more than one chapter. Though I've got to wonder, aside from the concussion Princess suffered, could a fall of that magnitude have injured the baby? In any case, this was very good and I'm placing it on 'Story alert.' Just in case.

And I loved that the little girl is Kathryn. It seems very appropriate for this fandom, where it seems like every second fan is Cath or Kath or Kat :)

Wondering what they do now, though. She can't stay on the team, surely?

Very sweet and well-written; liked the angle of Mark & Prin together.

I also loved the angle of the pregnant child's soul being the Guide that helps Princess out of her dilemna.

Before I saw yours, BTW, I wrote a similar but different angle in one of my Star Blazers fanfics (a chapter soon to be posted) that covers a similar plot idea from a different angle. In mine, the heroine of the Star Blazers/Yamato series, Nova Forrester-Wildstar/Yuki Mori (who fills a role somewhat like Prin/Jun in that series but is openly in love with the hero) is pregnant with her husband (Derek Wildstar/Susumu Kodai's) twins in my alt-universe...and their ship, the Argo/Yamato is known to slip into other realms/times when in warp drive. (Shown in the series, BTW). While in warp in one of my stories, Nova is in labor with her children, scared, not sure she will make it through. The unborn children (in the process of being born) appear to her at about the age of six or seven while in Warp to reassure her it works out and they are born.

I wanted to share this because I think it is sort of neat we came up with a similar idea, but from different angles. Oh. Nova/Derek do marry in the SB/Yamato series in the last movie made so far (FINAL YAMATO) and in canon they have one child, Miyuki, who will supposedly show up in the new movie in the works, YAMATO:REBIRTH, now in production. My birth scene (rated M for details) will appear as the last installment of my "New Comet" universe story "Endgame" in Ch. 10 on , probably in the next month. My BOTP story is in the same universe, and the children born are the couple's first, Alex & Ariel.

I would like to see if you could take this one-shot elsewhere...I really like it and this it is very sweet.

Aw! That was beautiful. I'm a more recently-made fan of BOTP, but right from the start I always thought that Mark and Princess would be perfect together. And this story proves it!

Neat job on the little girl's conversation; dialogue deliberately misleading yet factually accurate often sounds highly contrived, but yours seems quite natural even while it's realistic that Princess wouldn't guess the truth from the beginning even though we do. Well done there. I was also interested to read a story that starts from the basis of Mark and Princess in a relationship, that it's just a given for them (and presumably for the others) that one day they're gonna have kids together, that kind of thing.

And the little girl was cute.
