I'm cautiously interested in this story, it's certainly a different take on 5th year. I hope that you don't have Harry totally abandon his friendship with Ron & Hermione, despite it being necessary to the plot for now. Especially too since although they are ignoring him, he also being a jerk to them.

personally I thought he would drop Divination, he's not a seer so it would be a useless class for him, at least in History of Magic he could catch up on sleep or other homework.

I don't hold much hope, since it's been the larger part of a decade since this story has gotten new material, but I would really love it if you continued this. My favorite noncanon relationship is Harry-Daphne - this has got to be one of the best I've read, and they're not even really friends yet! I give you a follow in hopes that inspiration strikes soon.

That was a really good start to a story, especially the new friendship between Daphne, Blaise, Neville, Ginny and Harry! And professor Anashi was a surprise! I was almost certain that it was Sirius under disguise but he is a very excentric wizard to term it mildly. I hope to see more chapters on this story as its really really good!

About Anashi's proposition - I think Harry should have dropped Divination instead. History of Magic can at least be used as nap time.

I like your writing style, especially during the class scenes and Harry's inner monolgue, but I think the scenes with Daphne are a little bit lacking. Aside from mentioning that "they talked" on the train we don't actually see much interaction between the two and their visit to the library, which should have been the biggest Harry/Daphne-centric scene so far, was completely glossed over. That said, I am really enjoying the story so far and hope to see more soon. Especially more Daphne.

Awesome story

So far, three exceptionally written chapters. Sadly, it seems that this fanfiction has been abandoned since it appears, that last update was in 2008. I would have loved to read the ending.
