Other than the part where Naruto visited only once, everything else was on point. A good one-shot. Would have been better if you would have elaborated why really Tsunade hated Shikamaru... surely not only because he would have a good Homage?

Gleam, I've read your stories...ALL of them and some of you reviews. I can be a man and honestly say that you scare me, not a lot, but just enough to give me a few dreams. It takes a special brand of writing to scare me with simple word's on a page but you have done that and for that I will follow your stories like a disciple. I am begging you now to write a real book one that I can hold in my hands and say THIS is my favorite book.

An interesting path for Shikamaru, and I like the comparison with Team Seven and the Sannin, it makes sense when you look at it that way, but I'd never seen it before. It's interesting to wonder what it was that Shika had that kept him loyal, when Orochimaru and Sasuke defected (in canon I mean).

Not too thrilled about the whole Ino and Chouji pairing alot of people seem to like.

And please, Naruto only making one visit. Now, I call BS. Everything else, was great.

The idea of Tsunade despising Shikamaru, however unbelievable it is that she'd spite him this way, is really compelling.

I agree that if Shikamaru ever got motivated he could take over the Fire Country, maybe the world. Tsunade can be also be petty in canon and you really worked that angle.
