It is amazing how every time I read one of your fics, the arrow on my computer automaticaly drifts towards the "add to favorites", as if it as a life of its own. This is one of those cases as well. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to read a fic abou Aragorn and Thranduil without them lauching at each others' throats. To have both of them, fathers as well as kings, confort each other over their worry of their childrens' absence and well-being it's like a breeze of fresh air on a balmy summer day. Your portrail of a worried father, in this case, fathers, is nothing short of impressive, as it is your portrail of Aragorn and, most importantly, Thranduil (I admite, I'm a complete sucker for the guy, and even more for his son. I know, I'm a geek) In short, another stunning piece of fanfiction from a great fanfiction author. Bravo!

umm i liked it but i was not realy reading it cause i am reading a book in front of me and i keep mixing the stories together it is anoing the hell out of me

...I cold night outside our farm house, some snowflakes searching their way down to earth, and I am weeping my heart out re-reading this well composed tale. Gah *walks down the stairs in search for tissues without waking all the others*...

Beautiful, simply and truly beautiful. They do have so much in common, both kings, and I agree: they had/have to send away their beloved sons due to their duties to the kingdom. The idea of writing by using two different timelines is unique and original. You have an interesting shades-of-grey interpretation of those scenes, and you present it so very well. I am SO impressed by how naturally you took both kings from hating and resenting sending their sons away to accepting the situation as the right decision. Oh well *tries to stop weeping but fails miserably*.

As always, I applaud you. I hope that your brilliant writers' mind will gift us with many a tale like that one. Tales, which can make me cry and smile together in sad and lonely hours like this one, in the middle of a dark and cold winter night...
