well, this may be short, but it's such a perfect view into Buffy that its unbelievable. This deserves a short-fic award for best-something. Best of the first few post-smashed fics I've seen. You managed to cover the whole buffy-in-denial thing perfectly (and amusingly), but you did well in showing how she's really attracted to him despite everything. And Spike just waking up and grinning at her when she siad half-heartedly that she hated him? It was wonderful. And man, I LOVE well-written S/B stuff.
