Guest chapter 1 . 4/19 Very, very poignant |
Dino-Rogue chapter 1 . 3/6/2014 Ah, I agree, about Eustace and Caspian's reunion in SC, I mean. Wow, what a fic! That is true, I'm sure that news about the good king would haunt Eustace. So well written! Great job! |
aesthetichipstertrash chapter 1 . 6/11/2012 I really like this, Never read anything like it. I love the Reep part. |
reneerose chapter 1 . 3/2/2011 I truly like you experiment with present tense. It worked well and is a lovely story. Adding to the Eustace story community I made. Great writing! Descriptions and characterizations in the present tense were excellent and as others mentioned...good device to see inside Eustace's thoughts... |
SlashMyDreams chapter 1 . 12/21/2010 Lovely characterization. |
hungrytiger11 chapter 1 . 8/4/2009 This is fantastic. I especially love that it is about Eustace. Jill and Eustace both are too often forgotten in this fandom. The sense of absolution and the reconsidered decision of the wisdom of this journey both bring home a sense of faith and loniliness as well as brings home a reminder that these two's journey into Narnia were very different things from the others. They never got to stay long and heck until LB neither were in actual Narnia much , lovely work. |
the shadow proves the sunshine chapter 1 . 7/4/2009 You know, I'd never really thought about the friendship between Eustace and Caspian, but they def. had one, and I like your insight into not only that, but just Eustace in general. It's very original, very different from anything else I've seen in this section on , and in the best possible way. Eustace's struggle with himself was something I had never really thought about before, but it's there and you do a good job of writing it. the shadow proves the sunshine |
Aslan's Lamb chapter 1 . 3/6/2009 Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for such a work of art. I love the way you write. There are so many little things here that make Eustace real and true to canon. And I am so glad that your Caspian is the Caspian of the book not of the movie, blue eyes and all. I love these lines especially: "Turns out I can’t do anything absolutely mad, and call it an adventure." "He’s suddenly slumped against the rock face, laughing till his chest hurts, and he thinks, this kingdom has finally driven him mad, like he always said it would." |
HollywdLiz chapter 1 . 1/4/2009 What a great character study of Eustace, who doesn't seem to get a lot of attention from fanfic writers, as far as I can tell. The writing was beautiful and rang true to me. I loved it and look forward to perusing the rest of your stories! |
SpangleyPony chapter 1 . 11/11/2008 well thought out and well written, although some parts are hard to follow but then people's thoughts often are. Nice observation of Eustace, the bond he has with Caspian, Narnia and his affection in silver chair :) |
GoldenAshes chapter 1 . 11/10/2008 Very good job of getting into Eustace's head-and the way you portrayed Caspian is terrific-very much how I saw him in the book. Present tense can sometimes be a bit confusing (especially when using flashback) but you did a very good job with it. |
Love and Rock Music chapter 1 . 11/10/2008 Wow! Very, very good. I've also dabbled in the present tense; it can sometimes come across as overdramatic and sloppy, but definitely not here! Your writing rushes us into Eustace's mind, and his conflict with the lost time and his own role in Narnia was wonderfully done. Great job! |
