I came here just after reading Illusion for the Moment, and they are both beautiful. It is just wrong that we never got a scene like these two in the books. Mary's death is barely mentioned, and it doesn't have too much of a noticeable affect on him (but the fact that it's from his perspective makes it harder to tell).

I completely agree this was a great piece.

I do like this. I questioned myself twice as to the man speaking, but I pride myself that I was quite sure about halfway of both who was being spoken to and by whom.

That was beautiful. A very moving story with Holmes moved by the death of Watson's wife. You can really feel his pain in this story. Poor Holmes carrying that guilt though he should not be feeling guilty ! Just want to give him a big hug after reading that ! :)
