What was really horrifying here is that Sev seems to hate the spell (that's not doing much to stop him) that he had very well intended to use on someone. Did e intend it for the Marauders, for mudbloods, or both? For his own use or to hand the spell over to V like he'd done with the prophecy that lef to Lily's death? It'd be quize time somebody addressed this aspect. He's getting his own medicine.

For many chapters now , I've been wondering what (whom) Sev had in mind when he had created this blood spell. Did he plan on amassing a follower circle himself? Did he plan on ensuring Lily doesn't reject him again? Muggles?

Luna is right. As for the wards... Not very smart to show them, where the element of surprise would have been useful at a later time. Very Harry.
