I finished your fanfiction just now. It took me 3 hours to read it and I admit, I have never spent an evening this relaxing. Even though I have a massive headache, I could not stop reading as every chapter got me all the more hooked. I am happy to see that there are more people out there that love the pairing of Sai and Sakura and come up with such good ideas.
Your way of writing made me feel all sort of emotions in such a short time:
- anger: because Sai is sometimes too naïve and Sakura too easy to anger
- happiness: because their intaction is just heartwarming and I felt happy seeing Sakura being at his side to cheer him up like with the latern for his brother
- sadness: because they were too late to save their little friend and because Sai didn't cry; it just made me tear up because he couldn't do it
- frustration: because Sakura let Ino do as she pleased instead of listening to herself
- comfort: seeing as they were such a good team, looking out for each other
- humor: because his comments never seized to amaze me, and neither did the powerful attacks of our beloved kunoichi

I am really grateful for this story. Thank you for writing this little journey of emotions. I enjoyed every single chapter, especially since I like the pairing very much. Your writing style and choice of words made it really fun to read.
I hope our paths cross again and perhaps because of the same pairing.

Awww! I just loved this story so much! What a wonderful fic :) I absolutely love how it ends the same way it began. Excellent!

Loved their descent from friends to dysfunctional lovers. Sai being the oblivious yet scathing fool and Sakura having to take matters on her own hands made me laugh. Hard. Though I avoided chapters 19 and 20 if only to not get a nosebleed. No need to get horny if I could avoid it. I'm good at when I have to avert my eyes in a not so child friendly scene.

But I didn't expect the sweet child they befriended to die and it made me sad. Yet I couldn't help but think 'break the cycle of hatred indeed' while looking at Naruto with a raise of an eyebrow. Hypocrite much? Then again, even someone like Naruto wouldn't be able to forgive the bastards especially since they did it for glory. May they rot in hell. *smirk*

I'm loving the awesome coincidence. Twenty-one, yes! I also love how you connected the first and last chapter together. Great idea!
