I'm-Not-Obsessed17 chapter 1 . 7/10/2017 Please tell me there's a sequel...I need it. |
I'm-Not-Obsessed17 chapter 4 . 7/10/2017 Oh my god...this was just fantastic. I have read a lot of stories and this one was just great. I felt the joker's pain so much though, questioning his sanity and it felt like torture...great work. |
TheGirlBetweenMindAndSoul chapter 4 . 6/7/2015 Wow, just wow. Amazing. No other words. |
Light8mare chapter 4 . 1/15/2014 Ah you've broken him in most wonderious solidlity, pushed and snapped and ripped and shattered! Ngg! To delve into his mind like that and unravel it... It's put me at awe and envy! You describe everything in such lovely ways that merely reminiscing upon reading these sends thrills through my stomach! |
Guest chapter 1 . 12/5/2012 (cont.) but as it progressed, your well constructed words and sentences and phrases and paragraphs and chapters began to make even me think that The Batman wasn't real! That all along it had been Joker's twisted mind playing a terrible joke on everyone. And when he ended up in Arkham and you described the feeling of a trapped animal in isolated confinement, and the straightjacket, and the colors of the padded walls, and blandness and nothing of his cell, I felt that same itching irritation I get when I'm in a tight space (I think I'm slightly closterphobic.) I felt like I was going crazy. Processing the writing and thinking about the information I was mindlessly taking in became difficult, and I was identifying with the Joker and that horrible feeling. I could practically see the abnoctious bright white florescent light and it bugged me! But in the third chapter, after that terrifying description of Slender-Bat (I swear that's exactly what I saw; Slenderman in the Batman suit! Uber scary!), and Joker screamed (I inwardly screamed as well, my eyes every bit as bugged out as his, holding my breath, hand clamped over my mouth!), and it said He turned and left, his job done (paraphrasing), I suddenly remembered my initial thought, 'Oh, Batman is just messing with his mind!' Indeed so; in a very new, fresh, original, inventive, frightening, haunting, beautiful way. You should not be doing this for free. (TDK reference. XD) In other words, you are extremely good and I wish you would write a sequel. You've given Bruce his closure, now please give us - and Joker - ours. Out of all the beauty that is this magnificent story, this line was my absolute favorite: "Thrusting too much power and too many answers into shaking hands meant things were going to be dropped." Breathtaking. As I also aspire to write my own Barman novels (not professionally nor on this site, yet, unfortunately ((I long to joining ranks of Batfandom! Lol!)).), If this sentence or a likeness thereof ever appears in a story of mine, I assure you, it is only because it is so beautiful, that it encompasses anything and everything I could ever say about anyone and everyone in any and every Batman story ever written. It just applies so well! You and this work are truly am inspiration to continue to pursue writing Batfiction, my way. Bravo! Well, I have praised this work to no end, and would continue to do so, however it is now 4:30 A.M. and I must get my rest sometime, so I will say goodbye for now. By the by, I have never reviewed for anyone ever here, and I have read many marvelous stories, but yours has been the first to actually make me feel such deep emotions and cry for a character, and it was so brilliantly constructed and written and tied together that when I could finally calm down and the review button came into view, I said, 'That's it. I HAVE to say something.' So you should be very proud of yourself for evoking such a response out of me! I mean, you had me crying for a sadomasochist, phsosiopath! Come on! How many people here can do that?! Up until now, only you! :) And so, having said and gushed ALL THAT, I hope this conveys my thanks for this masterpiece. Fanfictastic! Again, Bravo! M.E.G. P.S.(Please, if you do make a sequel, do not succumb to the increasingly overused storyline that most fanfic writers use for these two wonderful characters; please do not turn this into a slash. It would be too out of character, as yours were so extremely in character, and it would just be so wrong compared to the incredible awesome that is this, "A LITTLE PUSH". It would be such an undermining of what youve acomplished here. That is just my humble opinion, however. I will cherish this story and this character set-up just as it is, no matter what you intend to do or are doing with the much-wanted and anticipated sequel. Again, thank you, and Bravo! Encore!) "I believe what doesn't kill you, simply makes you... Stranger..." -Joker; The Dark Knight R.I.P. Heath Ledger; 1979-2008 |
Guest chapter 1 . 12/5/2012 Dear, dear KaosHybrid, At the end of this beautiful story (minus the bad language; I'm sorry but that always clogs a good story.), you literally had me sitting up in bed (at 4:00 A.M.) crying tears of pity and agony for the Joker. I could just see (the beautiful) Heath Ledger sitting in that room in my mind's eye through the eyes of Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne), and you literally broke my heart! Only seconds before (after reading and imagining a Slender-Bat XD; scary sight, I'm telling you!), you had me cheering for Bruce/Batman/Bale because he'd actually broken The Joker. But by the end, even though I userstood perfectly and even agreed with what Bruce had to do and become to stop him, my eyes and cheeks were moist with tears, and my heart was choking inside of me because of the image you conjured up on my mind of a broken Joker. He really gave away his secret weakness - his sanity, or mental stability - when he said, "Madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push." He held the key to his own undoing, and handed it to Batman on a silver platter. First off, I thought this story would end humorously, as most fics |
ChaosTurtle chapter 4 . 10/29/2011 uh... WOW just wow it was amazing, so intense, I loved it. in a very weird way, but still. |
mreader chapter 4 . 3/19/2011 this is really foog O.O looking forward to reading the sequel |
GeekFiend chapter 4 . 2/21/2011 Good story. I liked it, though I think if the Joker was in that condition, he wouldn't be in a straight jacket (I don't even think they use straight jackets anymore). But either way, I love the concept of Batman getting clever with the Joker. Good story. :) |
Scram chapter 4 . 11/8/2010 This ending made me so angry... you ruined the Joker. Reduced him to a scared little kid rocking in the corner of his room. But that's why it's great. You evoked emotions in me that I totally didn't expect. Props. I love it. |
HaHaRehab chapter 4 . 10/16/2010 I wonder what The Joker was whispering about. It was great hope you do make a sequel. |
Fellfire chapter 4 . 7/16/2010 awww your writing 'A Little Push sequel' ... THANKS! i loved 'A Little Push'! it was-is AWESOME! your joker was just WOW! i felt very bad for joker at the end.. but you made me extremely happy saying your writing the squeal! *Grins* Slash? mmmm of course i want it slashy!(if you want, too) i love the idea! n i know that it'll be great 'cause your the author :) |
Altherin chapter 4 . 4/19/2010 This was both disturbing and yet... extremely impelling. I actually kinda feel sorry for the Joker now... anyways, a very well done piece! I just loved the psychological trauma that Batman actually inflicted on the Joker. As for the sequel... it would be interesting to see the Joker cling subconsciously to Bruce Wayne even if he does not know that he is Batman. And yes I would very much like it if you made it slash with a B/J pairing. The dynamics would be interesting and very volatile. I hope the sequel is still in the works! I'm dying to read it! |
andaere chapter 4 . 10/14/2009 Wow. Quite powerful, and creepy. Extremely unique idea and very well-executed and written. Is it weird that I feel really, really bad for the Joker? ;) Sorry I didn't review any of the updates - my excuse is that I lost interest in TDK. Shocking, I know. And now, for some reason, it's back... maybe 'cause it's Halloween? Hmm. Anyways, this is a very good story and I'm looking forward to the sequel - although I wonder what you can do with a broken!Joker and rutheless!Bat. |
chokini chapter 4 . 4/8/2009 Thats a great story, really! During the first part I even thought sometimes that Batman is just in Jokers imagination, for it seemed so logical bacause of everything they did to convince him. At the end I wondered about how the Joker would snap completely because of one thing, yet you are right, he is definitely on the edge of total insanity and Batman giving him the little push... Its incredible how you described Jokers mounting doubts about himself and everything and his reactions to that. I can, too, totally see Batmans point, yet the last part describing the Joker broken in his cell, left me pitying him. So, all in all, a great and wonderfully intelligent story! Thank you! But please, in the sequel do not add some slash; it wouldn't fit! |
