theDsacrifice chapter 1 . 12/1/2019 Felled by a filing cabinet. That is too funny, yet so appropriate for Sammy. |
NoilyPrat chapter 1 . 12/16/2014 I like it - very sweet. Like the fact Sam had given up on the idea of research to spend the day with Dean, and Dean had given up the idea of a half-naked college girl to go spend the day with Sam. Too bad a spasming back (OW!) and library furniture had other ideas. |
Freya922 chapter 1 . 6/23/2013 Of all the things to take Sam down - a filing cabinet! I loved how this scenario permitted you to explore the dynamics of the crossroads deal, the cost incurred even before the year was up. Terrific. |
sapphireswimming chapter 1 . 4/13/2013 I love how both of them realized that what they really wanted to be doing wasn't really what they wanted to be doing and they each (tried to) seek each other out because that was what was really important here in the time they've got left. |
desdi chapter 1 . 4/2/2010 Tökéletesen írod le mind a két fiú lelki harcát, és a fic hatására kicsit még jobban átlátom, hogy milyen mélységei voltak ennek a deal-nek. A lejobb az utolsó mondat: "But...maybe you can bring your book with you". Annyi minden van ebben az elsődleges jelentésen kívül... Amit nem igazán értek, hogy mire vonatkozik Sam-nek ez a mondata: "Should've asked that…eight months ago." Köszi a történetet! |
Whilom chapter 1 . 10/29/2009 Dean bringing up the Reaper was a great set-up of conflict and brought on a fit of nostalgia. It seems so long ago! **Because he’s scared. He’s terrified of losing you again, and of going to Hell.** So true. I think that the panic Dean felt when Sam was dead never true left him, even after he brought Sam back-it was just strengthened because he knew what it was like to have Sam gone and knew he couldn't go through that. You brought that out very well. Dean took so long to find Sam, it drove me crazy! All I could think was Sam lying there on the floor, crushed under a filing cabinet, and Dean waiting for him to come back. Their conversation while Sam is under the filing cabinet is such a concise example of the amazing stuff you write for the Winchesters-humor, commands, fear, pain, angst. It's all there and it's perfect. I loved Sam's response to Dean wondering if they need help: **Sam blinked. “Should’ve asked that…eight months ago,” he breathed.** That one gave me pause and hurt the teeniest bit, the little brother letting Dean know that what he did was not okay. Sam's "I can't do this" twisted my stomach. I loved the way you brought back the original argument with the Reaper and Dean's regret for even bringing it up. I kind of wish that Sam had told Dean that he was on his way to find Dean at the beach, that Dean knew he had trumped research for that day, but that's not to say I wasn't completely satisfied by this sweet story. :) |
Angel Spirit chapter 1 . 8/16/2009 Aw...poor Sammy and his bad back...although...it *does* make for great fic angst! I always want to give Sam a big hug during season 03 because of Dean's deal, and this fic doesn't change that at all. Dean was awesome in his older overprotective brother mode *sighs happily* it was a good thing that Sam left him a trail to follow by! I wanted to say or else he might not have found him as quickly as he had, but this is *Dean* we're talking about, so chances are he would've found him anyway-by that wonderful brotherly intuition of theirs-I swear they both have it, really! lol...and thanks for yet another awesome read...I never tire of your fics, I swear! ~ |
Terrwyn Ailil chapter 1 . 2/16/2009 Hey, great story. I loved it. |
BlueSea14 chapter 1 . 1/10/2009 This was an interesting look at what Sam is willing to go through to try and save Dean, during the third season. I think that this was a great look at both brothers. :) Good job! |
charis-kalos chapter 1 . 11/19/2008 Really enjoyed this. Lots of angst - and some library humour! |
Twinchy chapter 1 . 11/18/2008 Aw, this was awesome, sweet and lovely. Apart from gorgeously well written, that is. The brotherly moments radiated from every line - they felt heart-broken at unintentionally saying/doing things that hurt the other and felt best in each other's company. Dean had better not let Sammy know he left the beach-bunny standing in the sun without sunscreen. He'll never hear the end of it. Sam getting trapped underneath that file cabinet made me feel terrible for him because he was hurt and alone - and had no one coming for him until at least the next morning. Of course his big brother would surely be worried sick and searching like crazy - but he also had to find his wayward sibling in the library's basement first. And even with Dean being a great hunter, Sam could be certain it was going to take a while for his brother to figure out the right library to start with, not to mention his being buried in the builing's cellar. I love your characterizations and story ideas to no end, Hannah. *hugs* |
Laura of Maychoria chapter 1 . 11/14/2008 This was great. Such a lot of painful character insights here, like the realization that Dean just shuffled his grief onto Sam. Very ouchy. I could feel Dean's panic when he saw Sam under cabinet, too. :( Scary. But you made it all better in the end, with them supporting each other again. As it should be. Thanks! |
supernaturalsammy67 chapter 1 . 11/8/2008 AW such a beautiful fic hun! i LOVED it excellent work! brilliant detail i reall felt for them both, you wrote it so well hun! god it was amazing! fantastic work as usual! |
Vtll chapter 1 . 11/7/2008 Ouch. Back spasams HURT. And having a cabinet land on you? Not fun. Good story! |
irismay42 chapter 1 . 11/7/2008 Aw...nice brotherly schmoop at the end there! I think the writers strike short changed us a little bit on what Sam was going through during Dean's last year so this was a welcome exploration of that - and Dean's feelings too. Nicely done! |
