filmyfurry chapter 1 . 9/22/2011 I really like this story! I sometimes think how the story would change if Han was force-sensitive. Great work! |
Liliththestormgoddess chapter 1 . 8/30/2011 LOVED this. Brilliance. I love the idea of Han being Force sensitive - I don't see enough of it here :) And I loved the way you wrote it with the Sabaac cards. ~Lily |
Dr.Olga chapter 1 . 4/16/2011 I really enjoyed this! Cool concept, and very well written. |
Kamai6 chapter 1 . 10/28/2010 Brilliant! Kamai6 |
Feverant Wishes chapter 1 . 9/3/2010 I love this. And any stories dealing with that theme. You know of any more? |
GoldenRat chapter 1 . 6/1/2010 Huh, Han as a Force-sensitive does make sense reading your fic. |
losttimelady chapter 1 . 10/16/2009 A very well written fic. I, myself, have been thinking about writing a fic similar to this but you've done it far more eligently than I could have. The ambiguity of the end is nice, it's good that you do leave it as a cliff hanger. The mention of Obi-wan saying 'there's no such thing as luck' is something I'm glad you picked up on, very good. I like the use of the Sabacc imagary. I could continue on about how clever and well written this fic is but I shall finish simply by say that this is one for the faves list, an excellent fic! |
wildskysong chapter 1 . 5/18/2009 Brilliantly done, but that ending was really, really cruel... Excellent, though. |
ArianneG chapter 1 . 12/22/2008 Oh Godohgodohgod...that last card broke me. Very, very apt-for the destroyed starship is what Han's reputation and home life are going to look like after this, and of course Jacen's going to look very much like a destroyed...something by the time Han's lightsaber finishes with him. Poor Jacen, and poor Han...certainty or not, no-one can ever be sure what the future looks like, and to kill your own child! (I've noted that blue blade-why do I keep seeing it as very much the same shade of Anakin Skywalker Sr.'s blade?)With no justification as it would seem at that point in time, and now no justification ever (because Jacen will never do those things ever, will never fall, will never commit insane murders. Which is good, actually. :P) But yeah, it's midday here, and I'm having a long case of shivers: first Mathematica's H/L angst, and now this! Gahh. You two are scary, scary people. |
Mathematica chapter 1 . 11/3/2008 Ah, you wrote it, you wroteityouwroteit! *squeal* I love the whole style this is written in - it's really original and really well done. Are the prompts from a list of some sort or something? I've become really addicted to those things after 1sentence :D "His dreams were ferrocrete, not clouds:" That line is so powerful and SO Han Solo that it just made me think "wow"! You're right, I doubt that Han would ever dream of being a Jedi ... it's a really IC observation, I really liked that :D I like your reasoning that it was a "feeling" that started off ANH - you manage to keep his thoughts and feelings canon, while foreshadowing something else - how you do that, I don't know. It's a brilliant effect. Lovedlovedloved the skepticism. SO Han. "happinesshurtwonderment" YES! THE SQUISHED WORDS HAVE INVADED YOUR BRAIN TOO! WE RULE! *high five* You wrote Vader finding out really well :D I wonder what sort of thing is going to stem from that ... Aww, I loved the scene with him realising that Anakin was Vader, and the whole reunion on Endor thing ... that scene always makes me tear up in the movies, and you've got me sniffling again. CURSE YOU MATE. *sniffle* "The galaxy wept in the back of his head, threw minor chords with the vehemence of a crazed conductor and an enslaved orchestra," Love the imagery! Oh, so Jacen turns? What? Is that "canon" - sorry, I never will refer to anything EU as canon - or not? And thanks for the mention, my friend! -M. |
Wayne7793 chapter 1 . 11/2/2008 Very interesting viewpoint on looking at Han's force-sensitivity as part of the Sarlacc playing card line-up. It makes sense, like it was actually part of the movie storyline, great job! |
LASOS chapter 1 . 11/2/2008 Whoa, wow! Excellent! Great use of the Sabacc imagery. And what a twist for an ending! I've always thought that Han might be a little Force-sensitive. (And don't you just love Mathematica for her inspiration?) Endurance was my favorite, and I LOVED these lines: Leia’s sharp ones (sharp as daggers, he can’t look at her too long or his mind will feel like it’s falling away from the world, but if he endures, then everything is all right, because what replaces his mind is happinesshurtwonderment) And so Han decided at that moment to learn, to explore this power, so that he might know Leia better. |
Magus1108 chapter 1 . 11/2/2008 This was pretty good. |
