The problem about the internet is it often keeps things indefinitely. So, I can come and read your work five years later, and feel awful that it will never continue. Probably (although I have seen the odd post). I know that five years later, it probably doesn't seem that good. (Well, maybe it does. But I know I always resent my older writings.) I am here to reassure you that it is. Or, it's the best scenario I've read. So, carry on, maybe, or at least consider going back. Your readers need you.

As I finish reading chapter 6, the author's note at the end breaks my heart. It's so upsetting that such a unique, brilliantly written story was abandoned. Just know, everyone here would love you to continue!
