it has been quite sometime since i read this but it still haunts me because it's so good, so in times when i'm bored or blocked i come and re-read it. I think this is by far my favourite fanfic ever about this two, it's beautiful (L). I'm so sad you never got to continue Curveball, i wanted to know more about their wedding and Mina having her own gallery and how Amy came into scene. I did know you left for a good reason, so i'm hoping that you're having an amazing life, you deserve it girl! :)

Ahhhh, this was just such a good story! Definitely deserved so many more reviews D I loved every part of it. I wish there were a Serena/Darien prequel to this though. Also, how come Makoto was the only one with her Japanese name?

Loved the way you made people real. I liked that the men had faults. Too many romances just do the strong, silent type. I liked that Kevin is the first one to admit he's in love. I liked that he has weaknesses. Even though it ended on a happy note, I can see that the workholic, the inability to communicate his emotions can continue to create problems for them. It's about how they would navigate their weaknesses together. Too much romantic fictions have an unrealistic happy ever after, I like that you have written a more "realistic" romance. I can't wait till you finish Curveball. Really want to know Zack and Amy story. You are an amazing writer. Thank you.

I just came by to re-read this after quite some time and OMG it's finished! It's so nice to see the sweet conclusion. This fic was so engrossing and just downright enjoyable. The characters are all well fleshed out. Unlike many other stories where dialogue between secondary characters is often interchangeable, everyone has their own place and personality. Wonderful and hilarious!

So, you wrote this forever ago, but I absolutely loved it! I don't think a story has made me laugh as much as yours did!

I THINK I JUST DIED. THAT WAS SOOOOOOOO GOOD! I FREAKIN LOVE MINA AND KEVIN AND SERENA AND EVERYONE AND I LAUGHED SO HARD THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD STORY! Now I have to go read Amy and Zach's piece IMMEDIATELY AHHHHH

I LOVE your stories! I love the dynamic you have going between the shittenou/guys. I laughed out loud so many times reading this and I'm not even that far in. Can't wait to see what happens next - I loooove Mina/Kunz (Kevin)

The gallery scenes in this chapter are pure gold.

The throwaway line about Serena is a great introduction to her character - you know exactly who she is and what she'll be like just from that line, and I love that you just teased it there without drawing attention to it. And Zach's later introduction, complete with pizza boxes and rant, is perfect.

"You can tell from here that it's mostly PVC piping and desperation"

(HAHA! Perfectly in character and hilarious comment from your fierce Raye. And Mina's later comment about tossing out the horrible fetus thing.)

"Can I listen now?" Noah asked. "Would you like a guy's opinion?"
"Yes, dear." Makoto smiled.

(They're so adorable, it's stupid.)

"Yeah," Raye said, giving him a sideways glance that was so sharp it practically cut. "I wouldn't want that to start again."

Love Raye's nonverbal threats - she's one scary lady.

Also, I couldn't pick just one line from Raye's battle with Mina's hair. The whole thing had me laughing.

All the relationships between the characters are so richly imagined. There isn't one interaction left underdeveloped and it adds realism to the story.

I soooo want to know the backstory of how opposites Darien and Serena got together. I know it seems a little boring to focus on SM's flagship couple, but here you've made Darien such a sleek yet somehow loveable asshole and Serena a smooth pristine modern princess, and I want to see their meet cute, dammit! ;)

Since this is one of my all time favourites and I'm reading it for the third, I figure now's a good time to actually review it, lol. What makes this story, especially this first chapter, really stand out is the amount of detail and particular descriptions that give each character life. Kevin's not just tired and red eyed, his contacts are fused to his eyeballs. The girls' apartment isn't just crappy, there's a hole in the roof. Your skewering of modern art via Mina's wry reflections is hilarious - pigeon blood, anyone? - as was Darien's little description of the piece he bought.
