Yay! I like this! Nifty Meryl narrative. Nice, the way you sketched out her family life and how she met Milly. I like the last paragraph a lot, espcially the last sentence. I can SO hear Meryl saying all that! Great job!

This is very good - it really captures Meryl's character, and the backstory you give her provides some insight into her workaholic nature. I like the sarcastic bits, too - I laughed for a good while at the "mellow out" line.

The only nit I can really pick is that this ends kind of abruptly. It might flow better with another paragraph to clarify the last one. A similar story from Milly's POV might be fun, too.
