I enjoyed this story very much!

Wonderful epilog to the story and Ezra is finding out the benefit to Immortality. Being able to protect the others is a nice bonus for Ezra. It was a great touch that Ezra is calling them by their first names and is feeling so much closer to them. I do think that he isn't going to be able to hide his changed status much longer. Everyone is happy to go have dinner with Charlotte, especially Vin and his desire for pie. Thanks so much for this wonderful story; I'm hoping to see more of your work.

Well, the reality of the situation is starting to set in for Ezra and he has made his choice. He has picked his family over Maude and she won't ever understand that. Love that Charlotte is revealing her bad ass side to Ezra. Maude is taking the hint and will back off for a while at least. Ezra is starting to recover.

Charlotte isn't the only one happy to see Maude die, even if it's only for a little while. Ezra has picked the person who loves him and while he is a little shaken; he knows who to trust. Ezra is just so confused about what is going on. It is such an unusual situation and Ezra was trying so hard to figure out reasons why he isn't dead. Maude still hasn't figured out just how badly she has messed up and Charlotte is really helping with Ezra's confusion. I'm sure Charlotte is looking forward to shooting Maude. Thanks for this part!

Wow, Charlotte is in a killing rage and Maude still pushes her luck. I don't think she realizes just what she has done and just how much she has hurt Ezra and disrespected Charlotte. I admire Charlotte's restraint. Ezra is going to need all the help he can get now and it looks like his day is about to get a lot worse. Looking forward to the next part.

Wow, Ezra is really having a very bad day. His instincts to go to see what Maude was up to in order to prevent trouble were sound and put him right in the middle of this. Finding out the truth about Maude and seeing Charlotte lie to him was hard. Love the cliffhanger of fatally wounded Ezra! Thanks for posting this and I'm looking forward to the fallout from this.

Nice increase in the sense of forboding and the subtle threat of Maude's plans. Given what was said about Ezra's nature, Maude's words are quite the threat. Love that Ezra would pick Charlotte over Maude and that he is so worried about Charlotte and what Maude will do to her. The pie mention was very cute. Looking forward to the next part!

Nice continuation from the previous chapter. Ezra is enjoying having a family and close friends; more than he expected. Maude did a great job keeping him isolated other than from Charlotte. The pie jokes are very funny and are teasing like family would do. Maude has appeared and the ominious hints of her plans are very subtle. The bit about the right age is especially creepy. Thanks for this and I'm looking forward to the next part.

Hee! Ezra was trying to keep Charlotte as his secret and she wasn't going to let him do that. You really have Buck down so well. Nice to see Charlotte making sure Ezra has more of a family tie to the others. Good for Charlotte for letting Nathan know the truth. Very nice chapter.

Love this explanation for why Ezra was in the area and it's so nice that Charlotte is supporting Ezra as a lawman for Four Corners. It's probably a big part of the reason he stays on after the thirty days are up. Good to find out more about Charlotte. Very nice addition.

Great next chapter. Charlotte is doing the best that she can for Ezra given how much trouble Maude is causing. Love how well Ezra is playing Maude by telling her just what she wants to hear. Looking forward to more.
