Oh, God, I love this. I love ho it ends, how it begins - everything.

OH MY. I read the ending with teary eyes! It was so beautiful. Very Waffy. I like how the emotions were built up. from 4-5 then BOOM! 6! I love it so much. I especially like the conversation in the ending. and i am absolutely at awe at how you pulled off the "love thing" without actually having them confess or outwardly showing it to each other (other than the hug OH gods. the hug!) I really really love this. I'm glad I decided to back track and read fics that I missed.

Wow. You wrote this story beautifully and with so much emotion. From the moment I played FFXII, I knew Basch and Ashe were meant to be, but this story was so in character and true to the game. Hopefully you'll be able to write to full length story someday, but I know how pressed for time a writer can get. Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this story, thanks for sharing it with all us BaschAshe fans out there!

This chapter had such wonderful tension. I loved it being in Basch's POV, and the way her touch made his heart speed up. *sqe-e-e-e-e-e-e*

' Words that Ashe had spoken to him on her wedding day rang suddenly through his mind. "Have you ever loved, Basch?"

"Not as such." '

Oh and how lovely it is to see Basch realizing that he is in love for the first time in his life...and he just doesn't know what to do!

Beautiful, just perfect. That's my favorite line in the chapter. That's EXACTLY how I think it works for Basch. You executed that idea perfectly.

No kiss? No peck on the cheek? Or will I have to wait for some *ahem* shall we say later meetings? JK. You are continuing this right? Kissy kissy, smoochie smoochie then?

If anything, I think the hug was right on cue in terms of character.

I'm sad it's over. You better put up some more Basch/Ashe soon!

I always liked your parts about the garden, and it was lovely to see Ashe getting away to it to tend to the weeds. Of course it had to be Basch that would find her.

You have just written also a very great point for Basch/Ashe. A lot of people have asked me how she could possibly love him when he had the face of her father's murderer. Your response and explanation of that was great and I wish I had thought of that too!

This story is definately one of my favourites. Inspiring and a joy to have read! I'm so pleased you did this and I wish and hope for this future idea you have. But no pressure!

Again...you finished it with such a perfect and fitting ending. Sad but open for a brighter future for the both of them!

I can find no fault in this at all...not in anything you have written. Though what I liked was how Gabranth's words reminded her of Basch's...how to even live in shame would be acceptable if it meant saving Dalmasca...

The touch of his face...that quiet moment together was so wonderful to read...and as for the ending, Basch's feelings and the reminder of her question of "Have you ever loved." really moved me.

But as always...you end the chapter so beautifully!

Aw-w-w-w-w-w. haha! If it seems like I'm always opening my review with an AW! that's because all your stories make me melt into a puddle of goo. This final installment is no exception. It was so infinitely lovely, but wrenching too because of Basch's leave.

He is a very great man, deserving of all praise, and I loved your portrayal of him here. Poor Ashe, even though she'd most likely mentally prepared herself for the news, it must've come as such a terrible blow to her, especially now with the palace so chaotic, I can imagine all she wants is the famaliar and understanding presence of Basch. If I were her, I'd forbid him from ever leaving my side, but then I'm not Ashe. And she is so strong.

Somehow this chapter reminded me alot of the saying "If you love someone set them free, and if they return to you, it was meant to be."

Thank you SO MUCH. This was a more than satisfactory conclusion to this EPIC story.

PS. by way of housekeeping, you may have already editted this:

"She had no idea of she had inherited any of her mother's..." I assumed you meant to write 'if'

and

"..heart was not her own anymore. It had not been Basch's for some time.." I dont think you planned to leave the 'not' in there right?

This was another perfect balance of tension between them.

I was like, "Come on...come on... just say it...GAH!" It so hard to wait, becuase you KNOW you KNOW that the potential is there and it will have to take off eventually.

I guess when it does ot will be all the more rewarding and satisfactory.

I really liked the part where Basch is remembering what Ashe said to him on her wedding day: "Have you ever loved?". And I got a huge case of the goosebumps when Ashe put her hand to Basch's face. I could totally feel the emotion and the sensation there.
