xsilver-galaxyx chapter 61 . 2/18/2013 Wow, this really was an epic story. I liked how quickly we were able to start seeing the real Izzy, even if she wasn't revealing herself to the rest of the world. I think fake Izzy would have gotten tiring very quickly. The fact that not everyone got their perfect happy ending, plus showing the down sides of being in a band, made it more realistic. The one thing that surprised me was how quickly Ric accepted Lara, he didn't even seem to blink when Izzy introduced her. Great work :) |

WhosThat chapter 61 . 2/6/2011 I totally knew the end was coming and seriously held off on reading the last five chapters. Just sat down and read them. Fully crying at the beautiful gorgeous story you have masterfully crafted. Congratulations on a fabulous achievement! Fully crying. xo |
Chapucera chapter 61 . 2/6/2011 I knew that this story was winding down, and I swear I am going to go through withdrawal now that its ended. But what a sweet, joyous epilogue! So, Ric has a nice, big, noisy Catholic family – just what he always wanted. And Izzy has become a writer! Its good to see that the entire family is happy and busy, each with his own individual passions and pursuits. Its fantastic that Ric and Izzy are still into each other after all those years – love with staying power, the rarest kind of all. Really, this has been a brilliant story, and I thank you for every last word of it. Got scenes and other ideas that didnt quite fit into the story? I, personally, would enjoy reading them. Perhaps youd consider doing a series of vignettes, either as a sort of extended epilogue or as a type of sequel? :) |
Chapucera chapter 60 . 2/6/2011 Ric seems to have recovered almost completely, though its a shame he still needs antidepressants at all. Its good that hes finally come to grips with his mothers death. And now Camerons in his life, and Ric is once again an excellent and idolized older brother. Its understandable that Cam couldnt stand to keep his brothers identity a secret for very long – much too much for a mortal teenager. Its also understandable that he would be tempted to try to follow in Rics footsteps and become a rock star. What is NOT so easy to understand is how he thinks he has a chance at it if he has no appreciable musical talent. Ric did his brotherly duty in setting Cam back on the right course. The labor scene was by turns funny and tender. Rics throwing his prosthetic across the room was a real hoot! And now Lara has a little sister. Wonderful chapter! Reading on… |
summercay chapter 61 . 2/6/2011 What a great story. I've really enjoyed reading this. Thanks so much for your talent and words. All the best! |
Timeflies chapter 61 . 2/6/2011 I liked how you tied up their lives with a glimpse into their childrens lives. Twin boys~! Delivered differently than Bella. Ric must have been relieved to have her there with professional around. Their lives are so different as they are. Each taking after a parent, in some way. Ric handles them well, even when it involved one who'd done something stupid with his Gibson. hehe! I was pleased to see how let Ric use his celebrity status to bring around change and awareness to a charity that would benefit others. Well done. So you made Izzy a writer of happy trash. LOL...I can relate to reading that stuff. Lord and Lady Stewart. Cool how you worked that into the story, and how you eased the facial trauma Ric suffered, after his first attack. You gave the girls a good solid work to base off of and have it be rewarding and something they love. Your right, keeping the story going wouldn't do. At some point it had to end and this way worked. You show that Ric, Izzy and the band moved on with their lives, right or wrong, life moves on. Thanks for taking on this adventureous love story with Izzy and Ric. |
JackieLu chapter 61 . 2/6/2011 You did the right thing by ending the story as you did, although I would have welcomed more chapters. I reluctantly agree it would have been in circular motion instead of being really different going forward. I hope that you will write another story. This was such a good story that at some point in time I want to re-read "Could This Be?". Thanks a million, Pips! |
JackieLu chapter 60 . 2/4/2011 Thanks for another great chapter. However, I am sad that the story is almost over. Ric has come full circle and is getting stronger each day. I was impressed with the guidance he gave to Cameron about the realities of life on the road with a rock band and why getting a good education is so important. I almost cried when I read the passage about Ric having a good cry about his mother and her life choices at his grandparents home. It was cathartic for Ric. Indeed, it was about trinity. The prospect of Izzy writing Ric's biography is just so cool. What a great idea! I absolutely loved the process before, during and after Bella's birth. What a magical time for Ric and Izzy. Got a kick out of Izzy making Ric take off his mask. I look forward to the next chapter. |
Timeflies chapter 60 . 2/4/2011 Great chapter. Love the idea of Cam's that Izzy write Ric's biography. She can do it and give it purpose. Ric dealing with life, his emotions and his brother's outlook on being rockstar vs having a normal live, in one afternoon, before going home to find Izzy giving birth. That's a kind of day most people never dream of having to deal with. I love the description of this birth, all that Izzy had to deal with, Ric's side of it and how his grandmother was so non-chalant about it. Izzy's frustration over him wearing that mask. I howled with laughter...LOL The thing he never thought was noticable, was important to her. I think with all his brother and he talked about, his being an Advocate, telling his new daughter that he would protect her and the family as well as other's, might be a road he could travel down when not on tour. Something to do along the lines of a charity, being formed to benefit other's where he didn't have that at the time of the first shooting. He's got a good head on his shoulders and so does Izzy. They'll make something work, turning a negative into a positive, putting his knowledge to good use for mankind... More please, if you have any more. |
Chapucera chapter 59 . 1/30/2011 Recovery seems to be the key word in this excellent chapter: Rics recovery of his health, both physical and mental, of his livelihood, of his family life, and even of the brother he lost all those years ago. Its good that Ric connects so well with Laney – he at least can analyze his depression and try to figure out how much of it is drug-induced. Laney herself is going through the malaise that so many women have suffered upon becoming new mothers. Its wonderful that youre exploring this – so many people think that becoming a mother is all sunshine and happiness, and it just aint so. Many excellent mothers have struggled their way through postpartum depression. Motherhood can be a painful adjustment, after all. Whats next for Ric, then? A home birth and life with a newborn, I suppose? Hed better be recovering his stamina, then! Thank you for a lovely, optimistic update. Looking forward to more! |
