You are good! Damn good. Loved this one as well. Loved that she was the one to risk everything this time, as he did for her in the past. The last chapter has been my fav so far. And the rings...perfect.

This is genius. I just found your stories as one of my friends has your M Rated Magpies Nest listed as a favourite. I plumped for The Earrings as it is the right length for my bedtime reading and also relates to one of my all time favourite Bones episodes and BB moments.

This story is so wonderful and I really don't know where to start with a review of this chapter (plus I am desperate to get into the next!) You write beautifully and the angst and tension you built in this chapter is staggering. Brennan's nightmares are so terrifying to read and Booth's intense desire to protect and thank her is so in character and written really well.

The idea for the story too is just so clever - a brilliant way to both test and strengthen the partnership.

There are so many lines I adore:

I'd given him the earrings because at some point, they stopped meaning that I loved my mother, and that instead, I loved Booth, and all the thinks that he risked for me, not just that one time. I couldn't ever tell him that, of course, but by giving them back to him, I'd felt a bit relieved of the realization of how much I loved for him.

Loved reading Brennan's inner struggle with her feelings and this was such a powerful explanation of her action.

I briefly contemplated drowning myself to avoid continuing the conversation, but he'd probably burst in and save me from that, too. Bastard.

LOVED this! She knows him too well! *g*

The nightmare, shower, poking...lead in the kissing heaven was just ...well...perfection... *runs off to chapter 2*
