Bravo! What a stunningly beautiful story. I will definitely be revisiting this one again in the future. I have a feeling it's going to become a well loved favorite of mine.

After reading this Balfran fic, I can't take any other fic seriously now. This story captures you in a rare way that many fics can not.

Best BalFran Fic ever!

The 3rd person omni voice was well written to match the culture of the Ivalice world as well as the attitudes of the characters. Also, I've never seen original characters introduced and mold so well with the original story characters. Big Kudos.

Also, I'm always favor stories with strong romance components when it comes to favorite parings however the lack of BalFran's amorous plot didn't negatively affect the story at all. I didn't mind mostly due to the epic plots, character developments, and well played game references lining the story.

I was shocked to see this T-rated story with over 200 comments. To be honest it needs more. This is the cream of the crop when it comes to real fic writing and authenticity to the original story.

There is one question I have though, How did Balthier wind up in Fran's cabin? Maybe I missed it somewhere down the line, but I was hoping to find that out.

well done. several times I forgot that this was fan fiction and not a book released by square. I'm very impressed how you not only kept the characters in character but they grew and matured in what I would imagine keeping with character as well. thanks for writing such a great story!

I know this story must be old to you, I only chanced upon it, being fueled with insomnia lately...I have had much changes in my life presently...however...I felt the need to express to you my...surprise in finding a story regarding a game I (in the past) only really enjoyed because of the game-play...I always felt that the story of said game was lacking, the "leading" characters lacked...well they just lacked, didn't they? I am being stupid of course... but my point is that I really enjoyed your story, you are a very eloquent writer and I hope you are still weaving threads. I would very much enjoy reading more. You certainly have skill, you write so well I had almost theorized that you were an original writer to the tale to begin with. I had taken a chance to find a story with characters I loved, with little hope to find anything more than retarded dribble... yet I chanced upon your story first...and I am grateful. Do your best friend..I did love this, it kept my interest in the four days it took me to read (although I respect the time it did take you to write), again, thank you.

Wow...that was an amazing story. And not just the story, it was extremely well written! I must say bravo to you! And, just...wow. Amazing!

Wow. I thought I'd wait until the end to review this thing, just so you aren't spammed by my reviews.

So, firstly: The fish, from the beginning. I really wanted to know how much they got from that little endeavor. But, I thought that that particular adventure was hilarious! (I have an image of Fisherman Balthier in my head that will not go away)

Secondly: You actually had a zombies versus pirates battle that actually made sense... somewhat. Its not often you see something like that so I take off my proverbial hat to you.

Thirdly: This is hilarious. Full stop. Its also significantly dramatic and adventurous to make this more than simply chaotic nonsense (but then again, isn't that what adventure really is?).

Finally: I think you've influenced me enough so that I'll be throwing in long and unnecessary words into my sentences in homage to Balthier. Thank you for that. It'll come in handy come exams next week.

Overall, I loved it.

I feel horrid having not reviewed all of the [previous chapters as I had previously mentioned however I did read all of them and I again commend you. Each chapter was thrilling, adventurous, and kept me wanting more. This story has to be one of the best Balthier and Fran adventures if not one of the top FFXII stories. I do hope you continue writing for there are many who completly enjoy reading these tales,

It's safe for me to say proudly that you always manage to get the most out of political, mental and situational schisms to make for an incredibly grand finale and an aftermath that all can benefit from. Whether it's Larsa and the great, symbiotic debaters, Balthier saying his dues to the kin he never knew while, in the end, coming back for that remnant symbolism, Fran looking lovely in a hat (really, her concept art of being in Red Mage garb does her fair justice), Fraternities painting the town red, or the simple, yet incredibly significant act of Vaan giving a chair to Rogan among the table of humes to which he belongs...

It's so wonderful to see them flying by body and soul alike. Do they ever deserve it, too!

Beginning to end of beginning again the playwright takes mind to keyboard; audiences await in kind.

I guess one f the perks of working as head engineer at draklor is that he can use all the stored Arcadian secrets to outfit his Strahl. Who wouldn't though.

That little 'talk' with Cid's grave plaque was nice. It was the perfect time as well, as son takes over from father. Thoughout that talk I kept on thinking of the Cid story you wrote and couldn't help but link this story and that together.

A whole year. I don't know if you had planned it this way but it seems a bit of a co-incidence for it not to have been planned at some point.

A truely great story, one I have enjoyed reading from start to finish. It is a shame to see it end but it is better to finish something while it is good then to let it die out. I cannot wait for whatever sequal you have planned to this. I hope there is a sequal, there are too many questions left unanswered and you have set it up for a possible sequal.

This has been my favourite fanfiction so far and I do not just say that to be nice. Well done on a great story and I look forward to reading more from you.
