Interesting story! I do wonder though if this story is complete. It doesn't say it is, but there is a certain level of finality to this last chapter...

Came back to this one after a long while & finished it. Great story; I liked how Hogan finally came back to himself & fought on. Good work!

I like the bit in this chapter when Kinch contemplates the cyanide. I often thought of this option when reading some of the stories, but if they got caught with it?

Great chapter! I am so glad that Colonel Hogan is better and none of the charachters ended up with some sort of severe punishment from London. However, for future reference the word is spelled apostle, not apostil. Great story overall!

LOL I like the idea that Klink wants Hogan to pilfer his cigars again.

Glad to see Hogan's back where he belongs. I don't mind people making it tough on him as long as he gets back where he needs to be!

Great ending is this is indeed the final chapter. I'm glad Hogan is pretty much back to himself. I wish Hogan hadn't been so hard on Carter, but I suppose Hogan had to set rules in order for the team to survive. I've read Brainwashed before, but I think I'll read it again. Great story this was! Hope to see more of your work again soon.

WOW! What a great chapter! I especially like the talk Klink had with Hogan near the fence while Hogan was taking a walk around camp. One very seldom sees Klink reveal a part of himself to anyone. I also was caught off guard by Hogan's reaction when Klink touched Kinch's arm in Klink's office. When Hogan slammed Klink up against the wall I believe he was imagining he was attacking Koch. Hogan is still a ways off from being made whole, but he's part of the way there. Can't wait to read the next update!

CH 12&13 were well posted together. They contain some rather interesting revelations about Sgt Krump. An excellent candidate for the Stalingrad express if you ask me. I also liked the impromptu shock therapy used by the men to break thru to Hogan. He's clearly not out of the woods yet. But there's more reason to hope after these chapters than before. All in all I'd say the story is coming along rather nicely. I look forward to reading further updates.

Good couple of chapters.

WOW! Just read chapters 5 & 6. Chapter 6 REALLY blew me away! Glad Hogan is back. But what kind of Hogan has come back? Will it be, in time, the Hogan everybody knows? Or will it be a Hogan that can't handle things anymore? Only time will tell, I suppose. You've written a very powerful, angst filled story. Can't wait to see what happens next!

A good chapter. One particularly nasty pest dealt with. Or at least on his way to safe keeping where he can be dealt with properly. Not particularly brave when the shoe is on the other foot is he? And there's a rather interesting development in the last sentence that might point to the chink in another's armor. And the key to resolvng another problem. I like the way this author thinks and am looking forward to reading more.

Well, at least that got SOME reaction out of Hogan. Probably not a bad thing, then. Let's see what happens next.

It broke my heart to see Hogan's reaction to hearing the gunshot outside the barracks. Just goes to show his mind has shut down. And what happened with Schultz? Wasn't he suppose to slip those pills into Klump's coffee? Also, what about this photo LeBeau noticed fall out of Klump's pocket of him wearing a Russian uniform with Marya. In Hogan's condition, I don't feel he could deal with Marya right now. But something tells me She's going to be involved somehow. Great story so far. Can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Boy you post fast! Great chapter! I agree with how Kinch handled the prisoners and with Klink in his own subtle way letting Kinch know that he knew they weren't in camp that night. To be honest, I like this version of this story better than the original version you posted a while back. This one is much more involved with the characters and I LOVE the way you got them all pegged exactly. I especially like the part when Walker explained to Kinch that the only response by Hogan while he was at Stalag 1 was the single tear rolling down his face when the letters from his men were read to him. Great scene!

Okay, so first of all, I think this story is great. I truly hope you don't think you've reached the end of it though. I have to have more! Please oh please continue this as soon as you can. I really need to see what happens next. And I think it's so fitting that Carter was the one to fight Koch. Carter was the only one from the gang that wasn't personally harmed by the krout. If Newkirk, Lebeau, or Kinch had fought Koch then they might have been subconsciously fighting to seek justice more for their personal wounds. And then the payback wouldn’t really be for Hogan at all, but for them. But the fact that Carter has no personal vendetta against Koch (on the physical side, at least) makes sure that his fighting was for all of the right motives. He was able to repay Koch for how he hurt EVERYONE, not just himself.

I don’t know if you’re a Christian, or what spiritual convictions you have, but this chapter sort of paints a perfect picture of what Jesus Christ did on the cross. Carter had never been tortured. Koch hadn’t afflicted him personally in any way. But Carter still took it upon himself to step in and fight against Koch. In a way, he took the pain that his friends had experienced and avenged it by fighting and taking abuse from Koch. Carter wanted to do that for Hogan and the rest of the gang because they were all like brothers and he loved them. That’s what Jesus did. Everyone on the earth has sinned and felt that terrible and sometimes hurtful feeling that comes with it. But Jesus never ever sinned, not even once; he was perfect. But, because he loves us SO incredibly much, he took our sin from us and took it to the cross, kind of like how Carter took his friends’ pain and avenged it in the fight. It wasn’t fun and just like Carter, Jesus lost some blood over the dispute. He took our sin and died on the cross with it. But, just like Carter, Jesus ended up winning the fight because three days after he died, Jesus came alive again. And sin was totally crushed at his feet. Sound familiar? The cool thing about what Jesus did is that it opens the door for us to have a relationship with God again. Because mankind used to be really friendly with God. We used to see him all the time and we could walk with him (literally) and talk with him. But God is so perfect that he can’t be around sin. So as soon as people started sinning, God couldn’t be around us anymore. Even though he still really loves us, our sin repels him away from us. By taking our sin from us and defeating it on the cross, Jesus washed us clean from that repellant sin so that God can come and be with us again. Now, we can’t always literally see him or hear him whenever he talks. But we can feel him and know that he cares. All you have to do is pray (silently or out loud, it doesn’t matter) and tell Jesus that you accept his act of sacrifice, thank him for washing you clean of sin and ask for him to come and lead you through life. When you do that, not only do you get to have a personal relationship with God again, but you also get to live with him forever, even after you die. You won’t have to go to Hell (the REAL one, which is even a billion to the billionth power times worse than the one in this story, believe it or not!) but instead, you’ll get to live in Heaven with God and all of his people forever!

Anyway, that’s just what this chapter reminded me of to I thought I would share. But I think this story is really good so far. I like how you’re writing it by using all of those brakes to tell the story from different characters’ points of views. And I love the Klink you’re portraying in this story. Even though he is “softer” in this story than he is on the show, I still think you’re keeping him true to character. I think that if Klink ever really did go through something like this, then he would be behaving and talking just as you have him talking in the story. So I still think you’re keeping all of the characters true to their personalities. Oh, one little thing I noticed is that you have Newkirk calling Hogan “gov’ner” quite a lot. In the show, he DOES call him governor sometimes, but I don’t think it’s quite as often as you make it out in your story. But that’s not really a huge deal. Oh, and I really like Kinch in this story too. I really love him in the show and I like getting to see him step up take command in your story.

So anyway, I hope you will update this soon because I’m really anxious to see how you conclude this little story of yours. Well done and keep up the good work!
